Hello , going on Ventura in 4 weeks time, can't wait.

We use New Place hotel in Sherrill Heath, outside Southampton but has a great cruise package. Going on Saturday, £215 for bed and breakfast, 2 taxis and 25 nights parking. Great start to your holiday. 

Hotel has lovely grounds and an indoor swimming pool 

We normally stay at New Place Hotel in Sherrill Heath outside Southampton and will be back there in October. 

In April we stayed at the Hilton Ageas Bowl Southampton, lovely hotel and would recommend both hotels. 

Both hotels have good cruise packages which include parking. 

New Place we book direct with the hotel and Ageas Bowl we booked via Holiday Extras. 

We loved staying on board when we did our back to back. Ship was quiet and we had a lovely chilled day. Didn't need to go into Southampton, weather was good so we could use the empty pool and hot tub. We were lucky that we didn't have to move cabins. We were invited to the loyalty lunch which was nice too. 

On my last cruise, Iona in December, no hot drinks available from room service. 

I do hope they reinstate this as DH and I have an early morning coffee delivered every morning, pre Covid 

Yes you can have a table for 2. Post Covid, sandwiches, cakes and scones all come on a tiered cake stand, rather than waiters serving you. You share the cake stand between 2

I cruised on Iona with friends in December. We used Eavesway to get to Southampton and were VERY impressed. Would definitely use again. Lovely drivers and very clean comfortable coach
