How long ago were you on Adventure? We board on the 29th. Did you do MTD?
We were on Sept 1 through Sept 10th. We did do MTD. We had reservations..there were 5 of us and really had no issues at all. We loved Shon and thought he did a great job getting us to a table!

I thought they were no longer required to cruise out of Florida? or isn't every cruise line doing that?

Have not sailed since pre Covid….do you need resies for all shows now? If so, can you make them the first day? Is there an app for this…or what is the procedure? Thank you!
you don't need reservations for the shows. You just go. Just the larger ships require reservations for their shows.

We're on the same sailing. Our first on Royal since the pandemic.
it was our Second since the pandemic. We were on the Adventure. We came home with Covid. We didn't wear masks but now sure wish we had. We are all ok only mild symptoms, but still a pain. We did just fine no covid at all after cruising this past March.

Which should we stay at for 1 night precruise in March? Embassy Suites Westshore or Chase Suites Rocky Point? thanks for any input.

Since it's only one night I would recommend staying in Tampa closer to the port....also more to do IMHO. I would suggest looking to stay in the Downtown/Channelside area. These are both within a very short distance from the port....depending on which hotel some you may be able to even take the free trolley from hotel to port. Some hotel recommendations would be Marriott Water St...JW Marriott Water St...Embassy Suites Tampa Convention Center...Westin Tampa Waterside...Home 2 Suites and Hampton Inn Channelside. All of these hotels I suggested are in walking distance or a free trolley ride to many restaurants and bars....also within 10 minutes or less to the port....some you can also just take the free street trolley from hotel to port.
As for transport from airport to hotel...I would suggest Uber XL or Lyft. Depending on traffic you are looking anywhere from 30 minutes up to get from PIE to Downtown Tampa.
Thank you very much. Now another question. We are also staying 2 days after cruise, should we stay in one of the same hotels or somewhere different?
-
I need help. We have cruised several times but never out of Tampa . We will be flying in to PIE rather than TPA, so have some questions. Should we just stay in the Clearwater/St Pete area for the night before or a hotel in Tampa? Which hotels are recommended in either area. Another questions is what is best to use for transportation from the airport to the hotel and then also from hotel to the port? There will be 5 adults. thank you in advance.

It’s just not right at the cafe promenade. They don’t let you go in to the Windjammer wearing that why would he think that’s appropriate for the promenade. I just had to take a picture since it’s in a public space at a cafe otherwise you guys probably won’t believe me 😂
oh i agree not appropriate. I would have believed you...lol...It shouldn't be allowed many times what they consider cover ups in the Windjammer either!! Although he isn't even covered up and really doesn't seem to care, does he?

I am only in a spacious balcony and all I get is a pump with the 3 in 1 stuff that I won’t use except to wash my hands.
that's what I figured. thanks. that is also the room type we have.

I like to leave home what I can when we cruise, so, I have a question. We will be on the Adventure Sept 1. Have they upgraded the showers as they were doing on the Allure in March? Do they now have the pump containers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner? AND before you ask yes I do take the small sizes of 3 oz..:)

They do not have to post the gas prices so I could not see but I was told it’s insane!!!
so if you live there and drive in you are surprised? of course I guess if prices are that high you aren't driving around comparing!

Day 1
So this cruise is mostly retired / senior folks very few kids … 2300 is what I have been hearing but will need to confirm that number. The staff if fully aware that it’s full of D, D+ and P members! I was blinded by a few badges already 😂
I have to laugh at that. I am a retired nurse and wore a badge just like Mr's and Mrs's Pinnacles wear. I laugh and say I would never ever wear a badge again. I worked for 44 years and that was long enough to wear a badge! I won't have to worry because we will never make Pinnacle anyway 🙂

I assume you're traveling to the Hyatt House from somewhere in the nearby area such as EWR or Cape Liberty .
I'd say UberXL or Uber Black SUV would work.
I'm sorry, yes, from Cape Liberty. Thank you.

There will be 5 of us with luggage needing to get to the Hyatt House Jersey City. What should we use for transportation?

Purchase ahead of time for sure. You might be shut out if you wait. You’re leavng from Liberty State Park in NJ, correct? Usually not as busy as Batttery Park in Manhattan but purchase the time you want.
yes leaving from Liberty State Park.. If I can buy them now, I can't find them. I'm guessing maybe the schedule doesn't go that far yet? We aren't going until September.
