Panomax curiosity - The disappointing views (looking at sky and deck) explained as a need to put the camera "down" when going under bridges. Took a look this morning at Neptune's Panomax history while on this itinerary and, sure enough, the same issue in these areas. Seems a small price to pay for the great scenic views we have because we can sail in these types of areas. Maybe, some day, there'll be a remote, mechanical mechanism to raise/lower these cameras so that future cruisers can see the wonders of nature that await their arrival!

Sherry & I have had a wonderful cruise and met some genuinely fine folks. Tonight's exceptional dining experience stands above all! Such good food and service BUT far surpassed by our special dinner companions. Thank you Clay, Mike, Sandy, Paul, Paul, Mary Ann, Scott, Gary and Robert for making this such a special event. 🙂

Simply Amazing - Sailing from Honningsvag down through Norwegian fjords & waterways is like sailing the intercoastal waterway! Stunning vistas all around. With midnight sun it's 24/7. 👍

Agree. We were in Iceland for five days til yesterday. We got $100 in ISK from ATM in Isafjordur just in case. Had about 190ISK leftover ($1.50) and donated it at the airport.
Similar story with us. Still have most of what we got. Think we'll give it to exceptional crew member(s) as we think they'll be back in Iceland. 🤑

We're in Barents Sea and continue to have internet. Too slow 🐌 for streaming but internet nonetheless. Glad to have it. Thought we'd have dead zones but none so far. 🤷 Lets Clay keep sending his news feed. 🙏

Sea day 2 and still have, albeit sluggish, internet. Didn't expect to have it in such an "off the beaten path" and remote area.

There were other dessert with pistachios on our cruise (7/5-7/19). I didn’t see the pastry chef this time or I would have asked. @Clay—inquire at the WC for the pastry guy and ask him what gives!
Chef's Table tonight - dessert featured crumbled/chopped pistachios as a garnish. Seemed like a waste of perfectly good pistachios but there you have it - crumbled gastronomic dreams. 😥

Are you originally from the UK? I at first wrote “Oh you Brits!”—but your profile says Georgia. 🤔😆
US Georgia. Lived in Germany for a number of years. Have traveled in Europe and frequently needed the WC in short order.

WC took me a minute to understand. Wondered what the water closet had to do with pastry! 😬

Just spoke to the General Manager. He was unaware of the webcam issue. He got on the phone to the Staff Captain so hopefully it will be addressed shortly. Let me know if it isn't and I'll ask again.
Odd. I emailed, and got a response from, the ship over a week ago. It was clear from the response that the "IT Team" was blowing smoke. The panomax on Saturn has not been right from the time it left Ancona. Maybe the GM is not getting needed information from crew members.

Watching Saturn dock on port webcam. Almost ready to celebrate Mike's 60th in grand style. 🎉

We are in a very small room, it's noisy, but a great location. It's fine for our one night especially given how tired we are. But wouldn't want to stay here any longer.
Edition is VERY nice, convenient location (next to Harpa) and pricey (we're using Marriott points). Whatever you choose, book early as prices go up and availability goes down.

We're like ships passing in the night. Hotel is Edition. Doing whales & puffins today and walked by Hofnin about the time you were waiting. Didn't look. 🙄

Ran into some folks who just disembarked an around iceland cruise on Star. They saw lots of puffins on Vigur excursion! 😊
