I have both cards. What are the platinum benefits AND do you know if you'll get them if you split the cost between the 2 cards? Thanks so much.

Hi GA Peach. Can you comment on Room Service meals? The temperature and quality of food and time it takes to serve it? anything else you can say about room service including whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner? Thanks so much! Vanessa from GA as well!

Has anyone had any experience flying Emirates Business Class? Considering giving them a try....
Yes we have. It's a lovely experience. We flew London to the Maldives on a 380. The seats are flat beds. Stewards put a mattress down and make your bed when you're ready to sleep. There's a bar in the back of business class where you can have a cocktail or tea and scones (London route) with others, and a big screen if there's a game to watch. The cuisine is excellent and plentiful. Over 100 channels on your large screen (15-17 inches??) TV, and alcohol is top shelf as well as wines. If you layover in Dubai the lounge is phenomenal. Best we've ever been in. It's truly a wonderful experience. Excellent service. You're in for a treat. Enjoy.
FYI, flights on a 777 are similar but the plane makes a difference. Theres no bar on 777 but the rest remains the same. If you have miles upgrade to first class and you'll experience the ultimate, especially if you layover in Dubai! First class passengers enjoy Dom Perinon upon entering plane and a shower on board if you're so inclined. First class passengers also receive a massage at the first class lounge in Dubai (make sure you reserve a spot though), and the lounge is only for first class passengers. Both lounges in Dubai have direst access to your gate so you may stay and enjoy the (huge) lounge until just before flight departs.
On Your Own Tours with Regent
in Regent Seven Seas Cruises

We've heard mixed reviews on Regent Excursions. Many passengers complain the excursions which are part of your cruise package price are uninteresting and boring. The Excursions where one pays extra appear to have better reviews. My question is to past Regent guests: Does Regent provide transportation to/from ship/city centers? We sail on Explorer in January Auckland to Bali and are interested in doing our own exploring.
Also, what excursions do you recommend we take in New Zealand, Australia and Bali, either ship tours or our own tour? Thanks so much Regent alumni!
