We in the States have a direct Casino desk number, and I find those folks to be more knowledgeable and accommodating than the rest including the C&A desk.  When I get an instant cert on board, I can only use by contacting the CR desk.

Yes,,that’s what I mean, we are a bit disadvantaged here. I didn’t get a certificate onboard (well actually I did) but I know I can use its trade In value on any cruise, it’s the prime cruise that I will get in April I am mainly referring to. If I can apply that to an existing booking.
i will try and call and see how I go. Guessing I could always cancel cruise and rebook and apply on  a new booking with prime cruise.
thank you for your help and advice. 🙏

Since the 1st leg is a NYE sail, you may have difficulty getting a free cruise due to the special pricing attached to those sails.  However, you probably can apply one of the $1k instant rewards certs.

If I understand your inquiry correctly.

Ps.  Get in touch with the Royal Cassino desk.

Thanks. Yes I will but as we are in Aus it makes it a bit hard as we get very conflicting advice from Rccl here.

I asked a similar question and was told by Club Royale that a cruise must be originally booked using any casino offer, then they change the offer code to the free cruise when it is available.  A booking made without a casino offer cannot be converted to the free cruise.

Oh. Ok. Thanks. I had better follow up. But we just got off from a cruise that wasn’t booked with a casino offer and we applied our prime free cruise to it. (Did a b2b abs second cruise was the free prime one) Difference being, I booked it when I had my prime cruise code (after April last year) this time I am wanting to book cruise now before I receive my prime cruise.(another b2b)  (So can pay deposit) now and apply when voucher out. When I looked on Rccl site it did say that it could be applied to any booking already made as long as it wasn’t past final payment date. But I was hoping someone has done this so I knew for sure.
    thanks again.  🙏

    Hi there.
we have recently returned from a b2b on Quantum of the seas (the second cruise was a prime free cruise ) . Whilst onboard we (husband and self) both made prime again and both earnt over 4000pts ea. The certificate we each received onboard had a list of cruises we could go on in a balcony cabin or the trade in value of each certificate was $1000 US. ea. My querie is: If I book another b2b (nye cruise 7 nights and then the next cruise 7 nights again on Quantum (as this is really the only time of the year we can get away) can I  (make booking and pay deposit for the 2 cruises) apply both trade ins to the first cruise (as has to be used within 30days) then when the prime cruises come out in April, apply them to the booking I made (the 2nd cruise).
hope all That makes sense. So basically I am asking can I apply prime freebies to an existing booking. (Normally we combine both certificates 2 x insides = outside then pay to upgrade to balcony and apply the trade in value certificates to the nye cruise.
Thanks in advance  If you can follow me 🙈

I would suggest you jump across to the Royal Caribbean board , I doubt any one here would know.

The blog would be even a better sauce of information, they are pretty hard core Royal Caribbean.

Thank you 🙏. Will do. I just like these boards as they are Aussies and cruises here are so diff to US.

Well she did arrive this morning but swells are too big.

looks like mystery Island is going to remain a mystery yet again.

how sad for the cruisers onboard.

Yes. We did arrive nice and early.  We have been on over 20 cruises and been to mystery many times. The weather was fine. Waters calm and the island actually looked deserted. Usually you would see people there setting up etc and boats everywhere. 🤷‍♀️Didn’t see anyone and we were very close to the wharf. Closer than I remember ever being

Many sick people from the C lurgy?

No. Haven’t heard of any. In saying that I reckon that will change. They have cancelled parties on top deck tonight (nye) due to weather so everything moved inside, so guessing that may be a bit off a spreader. We are avoiding it as we are doing a b2b and have to have a supervised rat test on last sea day. 😱

Most places have free wifi, some like your details which I don’t like.

I turned on my phone which was new and got a $400 bill from digicel which was pretty rude for a couple of minutes.
After a few emails I got it dropped.

So be careful, you can get a $10 a day pass but you need the app.

Don’t forget you can also bring wine onboard. Supposed to be 2 per cabin but most people bring 2 x per person 🙈. As long as in separate carry on bags all good. We also pre purchased A cheese and wine platter (which inc a merlot  and cheese selection) can have white wine etc. This was $34 Aus. (That price fluctuates so keep an eye on it in your planner )  So all up that’s 5 x bottles for the room. And if you are diamond or prime by any chance  then that’s another Avenue. Lucky enough we are now diamond abs prime so no worries at all (and we aren’t big drinkers at all)

Self-administered RAT tests have been required at times but I am dubious that any ship would require passengers to go to the medical centre to have a RAT test. There would be too many people there at once and it would be an ideal setting for spreading the virus. Your post at the start of this thread is the first I have heard this option mentioned and you put it as a query.

Have confirmation that yes, a trip to deck 2 medical is required on last sea day for b2b cruises (on Quantum anyway)

We were just on the Ovation b2b2b except we caught covid on the first cruise so couldn’t continue. The other b2b passengers had to have a supervised rat test on the last day of the cruise and if tested positive they we also disembarked.

Oh wow. You poor things. That’s awful. Hope you are all ok now 😢

where was the supervised rat test conducted?
thanks for info , so what I have heard is pretty much correct. Thank you 🙏

Did a B2B back in October with Carnival, we had a lot of people doing a B2B on our cruise. Got a letter half way through the cruise asking for me to show up, last sea day in the Comedy Club lounge, at a set time, with mask & practice safe distancing.. This was back when mask wearing was voluntary. When I got there, their was around 20 people in front of me, they called us over individually behind a screen & a doctor gave us a test to do in full view. I got delayed testing for 5 minutes as the doctor had found a positive test & called (Phoned) back those passengers to retest.

It was a in your nose test. Just did the test & was told to go on my way & would be notified if I tested Positive only..

I found out the other couple had a false positive.

I didn't get notified so was able to do next cruise..

Thanks for that. So all lines are very different by the sounds of it. I just would like to know ahead of time how things work.(whenever we book cruises I am always the one that organizes everything, our friends call me their T/A 😂 as I usually know the most about cruisey things but this is one thing that has me stumped with so many varying  stories. Have been on many cruises with all cruise lines but majority Rccl and I don’t like not knowing. Hahah. Thank you for taking the time to reply and share your experience.

It’s  only for passengers doing b2b so guessing there wouldn’t be many. Anyway, hopefully I am over thinking it all and have been Mis informed but the person that mentioned it has been on 30-40 cruises so they know the ins and outs of most cruise related topics.

Actually the requirement is negative RAT within 24 hours, so you could test 20 minutes before getting on the boat and you would be fine.

That makes sense but have heard that you have to go to medical day before arriving back

to have rat (with Rccl anyway) have not heard that when off after arriving back that you can do one yourself before embarking again. Hence why I wanted to hear from someone that’s cruising Rccl ) who are you cruising with? But as another cruiser said above who is on Princess they didn’t have to 🤷‍♀️ And you would think Princess would be quite strict with it? So maybe I have been misinformed.

We are on the Majestic Princess and having a great time. The next trip is to New Zealand. There have been very few reported cases onboard this trip, and less coughing and sneezing in public that I have ever seen on a ship

Well that’s sounds very positive. Fingers crossed then if Princess don’t do it RCCl won’t either 🤷‍♀️ But I did read where b2b passengers had to do the rat at medical on last day

Thanks again for info and enjoy your next cruise. 😃

This is our last day of a South Pacific cruise, so we have to get off the ship for 2 hours tomorrow. We have been given transit passes which we have to show along with our passports to expedite our embarkation for the next cruise. No mention of a RAT requirement.

    Oh wow, that’s awesome 👏

Which ship are you on traveldayz?

p.s. hope you are having a wonderful cruise. Where is your next cruise to ?

We are doing a B2B in January, and because they are insisting we get off, and back on again (both international cruises) we will do our own 2nd rat while we are off in Sydney.  Like all other passengers on the 2nd cruise will do anyway.  You cant have it both ways if they insist we get off, then we will do our own rat, if they let us stay on, then we will test on the last day of the first cruise.

We are the same , apparently we have to get off as well.
But for the first cruise the rat has to be done the day before so doing another rat once off and before back on again wouldn’t be right would it? (Time wise)
technically , we are 1 international (South Pacific) then domestic (Qld) we just need to hear from someone I guess that has actually done it and if it is correct that you have to go to medical 😠
