I'll be in a Panoramic OV on Deck 12 dep 4/28 for Barcelona and will report back at some point.
My guess is the thudding of equipment will be noticeable, but not nearly as bad if it was overhead. There is a chance of deck chair scraping noises from the sun deck above. And of course, the various screaming from the beauty and health treatments in the adjacent Vitality Spa.

Did you ever sail and find out which side it actually is on Odyssey? My room looks to be right above it (6246)
Hey there! No I won't be aboard Odyssey until November

Just got off Explorer on Sunday but can't remember her name....but she was young and getting married in May to one of the senior staff (bridge) crew. She goes to the peek a boo window and waves at him when he's on duty.
Thank you for your input.
Cheers!

Cruise directors aren't meant to be directly contacted by passengers.
Perhaps I have potential business that is outside the usual category.

No way on earth you need to contact a cruise director
As I did not offer a reason, I reject this comment and choose to not take it personally.
Have a nice day.

Ahoy!
I want to email the cruise director of Explorer of the Seas in advance of April 28th transatlantic sailing.
Contact info would be appreciated.

I like to use THIS site for weather info on each day of our cruise.
That site also lists the other ships in embarkation port--a good feature!

Great website. The 14 day forecasts are handy. Well laid out.
Create a free account, and list your various ports by using the PERSONAL WORLD CLOCK FEATURE for easy access.
Time and date info, too! 🙂

If traveling Solo in a cabin where two small beds are combined to make something queen size, can I request entirely removing one of the small ones?
I would guess a lack of storage for housekeeping would nix this idea...
but it would really help create some space in smaller interior and OV rooms.
cheers

I'd like to know where on the Explorer of the Seas a grand piano can be found.
Other than backstage in main theater--this is regarding regular public areas.
The question also pertains to other Voyager class Adventure--Mariner--Navigator--Voyager of the Seas.
Thanks!

Is it still not available on transatlantic arrivals?
That's a great question, but my guess is no due to Customs requirements.
Or...(based on reading a RCL .pdf from some time ago)...you would claim your luggage shoreside in the usual way, do the declaration, then leave it nearby with the vendor who takes it to the airline for you.
Anyone able to confirm?

Did they tell you what the cutoff is?
I suggest contacting them via their website https://bagsvip.com
That's the company that does the contracted work at the airports.
Of course, the cruise line may have different ideas...

This was via Fort Lauderdale, right?
And longer than four nights?
Thanks

While this pic (much appreciated) shows a 6pm cut off time for SWA, I contacted Bags, Inc. and was told that has been changed. My 7pm flight out of FLL in Jan 2024 is eligible for Luggage Valet.
Also, read a tip worth repeating: take a print copy of your airline reservation for signing up on board.
Follow up: Luggage Valet was NOT available on this cruise (Silhouette 1/25/24 FLL-Key West-Nassau). Customer Service explained that was because it was only a Four Night Cruise.

I will show you the "secret entrance" to 270 from the Aft deck 6 cabins when we get there on the report. Saves you time and walking.
Ha! While looking at deck plans I suspected such a thing! Thanks for confirming!

@Cjonthesea - which ship? Thanks in advance!
I'll be on Silhouette. I inquired about general availability, not a specific ship.

Some reviews reported Epic has no USB outlets and minimal AC sockets in an inconvenient location.
Has that been improved during refurbishment?
Are there power outlets near beds?
Thanks in advance
