  1. Certainly the reunion at the restaurant in Westchester sounds amazing' date=' but frankly, we all know that ANYTHING on a cruise ship at sea is better than any other thing on land! I haven't been in the best frame of mind for the last several weeks which is odd for me in the spring and summer, but honestly Nancy, my interest has been awakened and I'd like to talk to you, or email, about this cruise idea. Contact me. All my info is listed. [/color']

    J ;)

I can't seem to find your info on here, not sure if I am doing it right but when I click on your name no email or phone show. All of my info is listed also, if you can find it, you can contact me too.

  2. I have not been on in a while, but trying to catch up with all of you now. I was going through some old Oceanic things lately and actually found the last name of one of the waiters that we were friends with. I am sure you all would remember him. He was on the Oceanic in 1984 and 1985, his name is Gianni Brancaccio and his bus boy was Lorenzo. They had their station at the rear of the dining room.

My sister and I still want to go to this reunion, we called up the restaurant but have not heard anything more.

This is an idea, we have a "Cruise to Nowhere" booked for January on the NCL Gem out of Manhattan with a reunion of school friends, maybe all of you would like to get together with this overnight cruise and bring back old memories of our Home Lines days. If you need info I can give you the girl who is handing the group reservations for our school and you can all receive the same discount as our group with her.

  3. Arubagal yes I do agree that the Homeric was beautiful and elegant I have also cruised Celebrity,Costa and now this August 13,2009 will be my 8th cruise with PRINCESS out of Brooklyn my first cruise with Princess was in 2001 on the Original Love Boat the Pacific Princess to Bermuda then ran it for 2 years out of Manhattan because it was a smaller ship but very elegant too then they retired her from Princess and sold her to a European co. Then I sailed the Grand Princess Golden Princess to Canada and New England which is a beautiful and relaxing cruise the scenery is absolutly awesome and then I sailed the Crown Princess twice to the eastern caribbean 9days going to Bermuda,St.Thomas,San Juan and the Turk Island with a private beach at Margariteville which is so much fun it also has a pool by the restaurant, shopping and the beach which faces the ship and of course the bar Last year I cruised on the Caribbean Princess to the same islands which I just love and also again this year. I really do enjoy Princess their ships are also very elegant if fact two years ago I met on of my waiters that I had on the Atlantic by the name of Flavio it was so amazing to see him he was still so sweet a little older but just like how I remenbered him on the Atlantic. I really do enjoy the 9 days too and so easy to get to Brooklyn from Phila. we rent a limo and we are usually there by 11 am and on board by the latest 12 15 pm their check in and disembrakment is wonderful. But like all Homes Lines will always be my heart.:o

    Hi Crusinsue,

It is so funny to read what you have written, it sounds just like my sister and I. We started out with 2 cruises on the Oceanic in 1984 and 1985. We too have done all the cruises that you have done with Princess and more. We were on the Pacific Princess for the July 4th week cruise in 2000, and again for the July 4th week cruise in 2001. When we were on that, it reminded us so much of the Oceanic and the matre'd and some waiters were originally from the Oceanic. When we walked into the dining room the first day, the matre'd said to us you are the sisters that were on the Oceanic. We then sailed the Grand Princess to Canada/New England in September 2004. Our next cruises were on the New Crown Princess to the Eastern Caribbean and Bermuda in 2006 and 2007, both were July 4th weeks again. Our last cruise was on the Caribbean Princess August 31, 2008 to Canada/New England again. You have to tell us if you were on any of our cruises and we may have met on one of them.

    To everyone else,

We have not been on in a while, but if you are still planning on getting together, we are still interested in meeting all of you.

  4. Cruising Sisters HAve you always been from Whitestone. There were twin sisters that came to the pier on Saturdays, Denise and Donna. Are you the same

    Margie

    Hi Margie,

We have always lived in Whitestone. Linda and I are not twins, we are 8 1/2 years apart. That is so funny about the others from Whitestone, but I never met them. What part of Queens are you from?

  5. Hi Cruising Sisters,

    Here is the info:

Jimmy at Mulinos Restaurant 914-761-1818. I've already spoken to him and so have a bunch of my friends.

It looks like you are from Queens? Is that right? We also were from Queens and used to cab it down there every Saturday morning.

How we cried when the ship pulled out at 4:00 but used to wish away the week until we were back down there again.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Ciao.

Thank you for the info, we will call Jimmy. Yes, we are from Queens, Whitestone. Where in Queens were you from? I always drove down and parked up top. Those were the good old days and we sure miss it and the way that Home Lines was. Hope we all get to meet soon.

  6. Would anyone be interested in attending a Homes Lines Reunion in NY?

My friends and I who sailed Home Lines back in the late 70s, early 80s, and yes we were those girls that would be at the pier every Saturday morning, are trying to get this reunion off the ground again.

We have spoken to Jimmy at Mulinos Restaurant in White Plains, NY who said that he will do the reunion again if there is enough interest. The reunion would be in Manhattan.

I think the more people that call him the better.

Yes, my sister and I would be interested in attending a reunion in NY.

We sailed on the Oceanic 2 times back in 1984 and 1985. We used to go down to the pier every Saturday morning also during the cruising season.

Please let us know who to get in touch with that we are interested in attending.

    Nancy and Linda
