Buy it anyway and report back. If you don't get cash back you can spend OBC at casino and take OBC back in cash.

If I purchased onboard credit online before the cruise. Can I use that OBC in Casino? Thx!

Once we docked at the downtown older docks and Hertz met us at the pier, drove us to their office at the DOMESTIC airport (NOT KEFLAVIK) and we picked up the rental car there. Very easy. Their office is on the far edge of town; you could walk there but it would be a hike.

 

Another time we docked at Skarfabakki, and Hertz also picked us up there nad took us to their office, so we could pick up the car. That was 2019, so not all that long ago! 

 

On another occasion we were making a cruise stop in Reykjavik (not ending the cruise there). We walked along the waterfront from Skarfabakki, a pleasant stroll, to the central bus station. From there we caught a bus to a stop near a Europcar location in town, where we picked up. Upon return they very kindly drove us back to the ship. I would NOT want to do this while carrying luggage.

 

I've also had Hertz shuttle us back to our hotel in downtown Reykjavik when we returned a car on embarkation day.

 

I think that some other agencies now have offices on the Skarfabakki pier - I vaguely remember seeing them there in 2018 but not sure which one(s) are there. But I've found that rental car companies in Iceland will generally work with you to help you get to their locations. Suggest that you reach out to a few of them and see what they can offer. Hertz's email for Iceland is simply hertz@hertz.is if you'd like to see what they could offer.

How do you arrange for hertz pick up?

You never know what's behind all those smiley faces.

But why is it always the customers that have to tip everyday to help the crews getting a livable wage?Why can't cruiselines do that from the start then the tips will really be the extras. Or don't prepay gratuity. Go to the cruise and ask them to remove it completely. It's a two way streets. Tell them they can pay the crews extra on the extra that they charge you. 

Was on concierge. Absolutely no value. First day cruise lunch was so unorganized and the food was nothing special. You also get a pathetic Canape during the day. 

For OBC from amex...is it only for a booking with your name on it? Let's say if I book 2 cabins will I get OBC for 2 cabins?

FCC section was posted 24 hours after verified. An email to my TA removed that and extra OBC was added to my trip in July.

How would you know if it's auto applied? 

I just got it verified. Hopefully it will apply to the booking that I have already booked. Or should I contact my TA? Also can this be combined with Stock holder OBC?

My friend is staying in another cabin and we are thinking of bidding to Aqua class. If only one of the cabins got to Aqua so the other one is sol on joining the other party at BLU?

Just got an email, Casino deal with special room rates and free drinks in Casino. No free stateroom though.

Does anyone know how often of free stateroom deal they send out? How was the frequency during pre-covid? Has it casino deal changed during and almost post covid?

Also about the freeplay...if they offer you $400 in free play. Does it mean you have to play all of $400 and whatever is over $400 you can cash out?  Or you can just cash out however and whenever you like?

I will try my luck. I would rather book a free stateroom deal than the feeling that I am going on the next cruise just for mainly maximizing casino freeplay.
