  1. Hi,

When I went on my cruise in November my husband had them decorate my room for my birthday. I brought the items home.  If anyone wants to use them for an upcoming cruise to decorate for a birthday let me know.  I can mail them out to you. I have no use for them but didn't want to leave them there.  Easy to decorate they are magnetic and some of the items hang from the ceiling. Just pay the shipping charge which I would think would be cheap if I sent it out early.

  2. I have been to Baha Mar on vacation and visitors cannot access pools or beach. Every person staying at the resort wears and certain wristband for the duration of their stay. Security is tight there. Just want to give everyone a heads up. Also, if you are coming just for the casino go to the Atlantis. Machines are tight, and the tables are dead. Tables normally start at 25 to be prepared.

  3. I just got back from the Sunshine and the only news was HLN and CNN in Spanish. I am a news person and not having any for the week was awful. They did have two channels of cartoon and one movie channel. Also, at night we like to relax and just watch a show if there is nothing going at night that we want to go to. Sometimes a day of sun and a good meal you just want to chill in your room. I asked them and they said they have had a 50 , 50 response to it. I am going to check out other cruise lines. Paying more with less services. Also, I noticed unless you want to do trivia and bingo during the day there were many cut backs. I have sailed Carnival about 14 times and it's time now for a change, too bad because I used to like it.

  4. Baha Mar does not do day passes I stayed there in November. I was going to do a room but at 250.00 a night then 30.00 resort fee and taxes it was not worth it. Great resort tho going back in April for a few days. I wouldn't bring kids here tho nothing really to do at night and food is beyond expensive.

  5. The casino is known to pay out in slots more the first couple of days. I hit the first day and the second then nothing big after that. Tables were $5. Go early in sea days for serenity no later than 7:30 if you want a spot near the pool. If I went late afternoon I could find some seats. It was hot last week so I only lasted a few hours during peak tine. Deck 5 mid aft had a light breakfast each morning I didn't find out until the cruise was almost over. Also, room service always came early for breakfast if I ordered coffee etc. one morning it came 20 min early. Enjoy your cruise everyone

  6. I did enjoy the cruise sorry if I sounded like I didn't. My previous cruise before this was the Dream ( which was my favorite ) and I have cruised with carnival over 10 times, I just wanted to mention some things I noticed on this one. It makes me laugh when you post on here, if you post anything negative you always get a reply to the fact that a they never cruised before, didn't do their research, hard to please etc. We are any easy going couple and just gave our views which of course won't match anyone else's. I will get the funtimes out to who asked in a couple of days. also, great bunch of people on this cruise. The kids on board were so behaved. Don't hesitate to go in this one I would go again just wished they would up entertainment in sea days during the day other than that it was great.

To the person who said some are never content when your making observations on your experience you should not judge anyone by their opinion. seriously , lol

  7. I just got off the same cruise. I feel the same way as you do on a lot of points. I did have fun on the slides I am almost 50 and my husband is 55 boy did I fly out of the slide lol. I don't think it was worth getting rid of the back pool for this. The lido pool was so small plus so many kids in there so I went to the serenity but you had to be here by 8 I think to get a chair or earlier. On the port days if I got there at noon I could find a couple. The pool if you want to call It that was nice a refreshing. The other serenity decks would have been great if they had another pool it got too hot up here without a way to cool off.

I found the sea day hardly had anything besides bingo, and so tired of the marriage shows with the same corny questions. I am a platinum member so I have seen this way to many times, it's a shame if they changed the questions up a bit it would feel like a new show I didn't even bother going this time.

Comedians were good but one night we went 45 min early and still had a hard time getting a seat. The live music mid aft 5 wS nice at night, lived the disco theme one night sorry I missed the 80,s night. I wish they would show movies during they day somewhere for adults who would like to get out of the sun for a couple of hours. The shows at night were geared more or less for kids which is fine but would like another alternative during the day.

I hit the casino the first night for 280 then nothing after that but I came home with my money. Not enough .25 machines mostly 1 cent . Oh well, my husband did good on let it ride so we came home with their money.

We had anytime dining. First night we ate early had table 404 which was awesome, the next two nights service was awful in another area. Bar waiter never came, water not refilled, etc. ate at the Italian place one night and it was worth it. Last night back at the dining room but requested the area we wee at the first night, so we had good service.

Food in lido marketplace we an awful set up. Kind of hard to line up for food when you have to go around a square for food. We would get our food and eat in the Havana bar area . Never had to wait for a table there and so peaceful.

Cabin 6344 , awesome, great area. Cabin steward was excellent but I found the bed really hard. Our shower curtain was to short in width so we would get water everywhere plus it did not drain well.

If anyone wants the fun times for the 5 day I will scan them at work on Monday so I can email them out. Just send me a message with your email address .

Oh the cruise director donkey was fine had a lot of energy. I was off the ship and through customs at 7:15 am ( priority helped ).

  8. Hi, I just got back from Freeport. The shared taxi was 10 round trip. About a 20 min ride to Lucaya , we walked right to the hotel 15.00 per person day pass. Memories resort next door sold them also I don't know the charge since I saw their sign when I was leaving. I only stayed a couple of hours it was fine. I could have gotten to the beach for free right where the taxis drop you off but of course at the hotel you get the pool, restrooms and beach chairs. We got thee at 9:30 so no one was there yet. casino was small and no one was there I don't think I would waste my only there. For 50 total for day pass and taxi for a couple you could not beat the price compared to carnivals prices.

  9. Hi, Two years ago I decided to go snorkeling here. They have tours that locals run. Not a good idea. I went with 5 other people. The captain of the boat dropped us off with a teenage boy and went to dock some where farther out. I am a person who is confident snorkeling without a life vest. A guy in our group had a panic attack. I was the first one that noticed and swam to him keeping him afloat. I was there with two women and their young daughter and this guys girlfriend. Now I am only a 5 foot 3 inch woman who is 48. The captain of the boat signals me to swim this person over to him. Really!! Just be cautious .

  10. It's not a cruise line issue but I guess you never take the time to read the name badges of who is serving you in the dining room, cleaning your room or picking up your dirty dishes. Seriously?? I hate to be like this but can't believe someone would post this from my thread wishing someone's family well.

  11. My heart goes out to the all the crew members of all of the cruise lines that have family in the Philippines. Our Head Waiter on the Dream his family was from the Philippines. It must be so difficult not knowing if your family is okay. Sending hugs your way!! The Fresa's

  12. I just came back from the Dream also. I was on the cruise with the rude heckler. OMG he was even swearing at a lady behind me and I had the rude person who would not move from standing in front of me in the bar area. He was asked by me and Jeff the Fun Dude. What a jerk, but I still had a good time.

    Have Cove Balcony, LOVED IT!

Was on the ship by noon. Went right to the pasta bar and loved it. No one was even there. Room service in the morning always came on time.

Had ATD and had Ruffino as our waiter each night. He was awesome!! Our service was quick and he was so friendly. I learned to ask for Lemonade at dinner. I thought he food was excellent, we skipped formal nights since football was on the first night and I did not care for the menu on the other evening.

I didn't find the lines bad at all except for the Mongolian. You have remember there will be long lines if you go during peak dining times. We found the buffets in back were not as crowed as the buffet right off the lido area. I did notice my food was cold at one of the buffets during dinner one evening. Oh well! One of the best pizza's we have had on a ship.

I found all the staff friendly and smiling. We watched I think all of the comedy shows and loved them. Jeff the Fun Dude did a great job here. I thought the singer as well at Sam's was awful.

I do agree that during the sea days they don't really have much. I was disappointed but just relaxed and spent my time at the back of the ship in the aft area. I found the music way to loud on the Lido.

For shore excursions I did Nochi in Cozumel, ( don't snorkel there, I had to help a guy having a panic attack the captain left us with a young teen to snorkel with ). Other than than there were only about 40 people that day, Manuel was our waiter and terrific.

Goffs Caye in Belize was awesome and the snorkeling was great.

I just find it funny in Costa May I love Country music but I would prefer to hear some steel drums not music I can hear back at home.

Did the dolphin swim and snorkel at Roatan. Awesome worth every penny. The trick is to dive down to get the sea grass to play with the dolphins.

I loved you can find so many places to get a seat on the deck. Just wish the serenity area had their own pool. It got really hot out there and I also did the slides they were fun.

Don't hesitate to go on the Dream. Your vacation is what you make of it. These are just my opinions and experiences of the week.
