  1. We just booked on the website. Beach day only. I got an email canceling my reservation and then another confirming from the tour company. They give you directions to the pick up spot. Ours is 9:45-10am. We have use of all the beaches and a lunch. The website states we will depart around 2pm.

We are going March 18. Hope that helps a little.

  2. Check you bills at end. We were charged full price twice for drinks.$30. Also the limit for drinks is $15. If for example you order Baileys it is $16. You will be charged $1. They have another brand of Irish Cream that is $8 so it would be free. It tasted just as good.

  3. Just got back from Escape Christmas Cruise. Agree with above  lil bigger. Shower nice. Never ate the treats or drank the champagne. You will notice they cater to Haven guests.

Have not cruised for 5 or 6 years. Really went down hill as far as service and food quality.

Make reservations! If you have to tender make reservation asap.

  4. We just got off the last cruise also. I think you will all love it! All 13 of my group thought it was great and it hadn't been refurbed! They are taking away the Blue Lagoon. Not sure what they are replacing it with as it was the 24hr restaurant. They are fixing the seating in the Stardust theater. It was really bad. Seats are very uncomfortable. The Band told us it is a 70 million dollar refurb and that is a record! I can't wait to see what it looks like and what people say about it.

  5. I can send pictures when I get to my computer. The jaguar was to the left by some construction when we got in taxi. Not on island. She looked pretty big in the belly. Was in a nice big structure. I was expecting Simba also. Lawrence lion rescued from circus was in cage to left when entering island.

We got to go in his cage and rub his head and ears through bars in smaller inclosure. 2 younger lions we knew nothing about were in a big cage closer to water after Lawrence. Puma was right when we entered. Rosita Spider monkey was there. We held monkey Rico I think. Also held a lemur. There were 2 in cage.

Seen some deer like animal and peacock.

It all was a lil odd. Boy in taxi told us jaguar was there. And we could take pix in water with him. When he returned in taxi I told him no it was not. That is when he walked us over and showed us the female

Nobody mentioned lawsuits etc. I only knew what was happening by this board. Maybe everyone was told not to talk about it. I just know it was awesome and we didnt want to leave. We were there on Wednesday.

  6. Just returned. They have Lawrence the lion. We pet him. Few monkeys. Lemurs. 2 young lions. Puma. Jaguar is in another area pregnant. I didnt see many birds. Maybe a peacock. Couple deer. Awesome place

  8. We've booked a 9th floor inside cabin on the Norwegian Dawn on March 6th. In checking the current pricing, the category room we've booked is now $300 less. We've contacted NCL to see about an upgrade and the only thing they would offer is a porthole room on deck 4. We are not so sure that would actually be an upgrade. I know technically a porthole cabin is always considered an upgrade over an inside cabin, but I question the location on deck 4. They refused to offer any other type of compensation for the difference is price. Any other thoughts on this? We sailed on other lines having OV and inside cabins and have never really thought the OV was worth the actual $$$ to us. This is our 40th anniversary trip and the first time with NCL. I must say our initial opinion of NCL isn't terribly high at this point.

40th Anniversary Congrats! Splurge and upgrade to a balcony or a suite, you will not be disappointed.

  9. November and December are especially unpredictable months for South Florida. Two days ago it was raining & 50 degrees in the AM up to 63 in the afternoon, yesterday it was sunny most of the day & high of 85 degrees, and this morning there are dark clouds & 75 degrees. But that is how it is during the winter months; wait 30 minutes and the weather will change!

What did you think of that Oceanview Balcony room & the location of it? Two of the people in our group are book for that exact room next year.

Room was good. No problems at all.
