Have been on many cruise, but never a transatlantic. Going next month and am wondering how to pack...hot...cold?

Sailing from Barcelona to Port Canaveral.

Can't print boarding passes until you are checked in online.  Can't do that until two weeks prior to sailing.

Wow, we were on the same cruise (family of 12) and thought it was awesome. (BTW, this was our 35th cruise, most, not all on Carnival, so yes we have a lot to compare to). We enjoyed the food, had GREAT service in the dining room and thought overall it was an awesome trip. We discussed it and all agreed it was definitely one of the better ones we have ever had. The staff everywhere was over the top friendly as were most of the passengers. Were some rude? Yes again, but agin...society...

I did hear about an occurrence on the Lido deck one night, but unfortunately that is now a product of our society (read the news). We did see a lot of security throughout the ship, but they cannot be everywhere. 

Were there disappointing things? Yes, but there always are, we choose not to let them spoil our vacations. Not meaning to be judgmental, but did you just let the cabin issue (PVP didn't ask what cabin you wanted?, was it a guarantee cabin?) magnify some of the other things that happened? 

Quick question. Leaving on a cruise Saturday, can on board credit be used for tipping and/or casino?

Once Stockperks verifies, just go to the app and select carnival, then follow the prompts.

Stockperks just simply confirms that you are a stockholder. Once that is done you fill out the request for a specific cruise with carnival.

I signed up for stock perks on Friday, got my confirmation from them on Saturday, filled out my request with Carnival and was already approved for my credit on Monday. Easy as can be!

Just ask for it in a tall glass.

For those that have sailed on Christmas Day, does Carnival do a special Christmas meal, or is it a standard menu?

I would usually say the Alchemy bar, but on the Mardi Gras I WOULD have to say Brass Magnolia.

Quick question for those that have done the Antarctic cruise.  Which side of the ship would you recommend, and why?

Yeah, I have cruised many times (31) on other cruise lines. I will say this much, I am very much least Impressed with HAL's customer service in several aspects.

Not sure how they expect you to make plans to get to port, when they take until the last minute to assign boarding times!

I am 14 days out from my Alaska cruise and my boarding pass still says boarding time to be assigned. Any one know when HAL assigns boarding times? I thought it was 14 days out?

Can anyone tell me if the pools on Alaska cruises are heated and/or swimmable? Going on Eurodam in May and would love to be able to still swim.

Does anyone know if there are any special events (i.e. white out, etc) on the Mardi Gras the next two weeks (Jan28-Feb11)? Doing a back to back and don't want to miss anything.
