Is it possible to use a gift card to make the initial deposit on a cruise? It looks like I have to book a cruise first using a different payment method and then load them to my princess.com account.

If you are doing it online, put the cruise on a courtesy hold, then bring it up under you account under saved cruises and you can then use gift cards to pay.

  2. On the Thanksgiving cruise on the Koningsdam I had $125 obc that said it couldn't be used in the Casino, but I only used about $70 on other stuff and the rest was used toward the $825 I charged in the Casino.  Also, I did not get charged with a service charge.

And, currently Fidelity has a deal going. If you open an account with $50.00, they will deposit $100.00 into that account at the 90 day mark. You do not need to be a new customer to get this deal.  Add that to the math...

That is what I did.  Bought 100 shares at $6.82.  Will take 4 - 7 day cruises by next summer. If I count the $100 bonus from Fidelity (I am counting it because the Carnival OBC is what caused me to look into trading), I will have a net cost of $182 for 100 shares.  Seems like a good risk to me.
