  1. Wow thanks all!!

The chocolate buffet thing was definitely an excuse for the dessert chefs to showboat their amazing skills,  it was fantastic.  My ADHD brain isn't affected by caffeine - except sometimes it makes me sleepy(!)

Well, I'll keep a look out; I probably won't bother taking eggs on board as I'm sure there'll be plenty of treats, egg-shaped or otherwise!

  2. We're cruising on Arvia over the Easter holidays. I've never cruised at this time of year before - do P&O do any celebration or event to mark the occasion? An Easter egg hunt or similar? I remember cruising with one company about 20 years ago and there was a midnight chocolate buffet one night - that'd be amazing!

  3. Thank you so much for this! I'm so incredibly excited to be off on Arvia on the 2nd April. I find cruising such a joyful experience - I worked as a cruise entertainer for a while and that truly infected me with the bug for being aboard. I almost dragged my husband onto his first cruise, which was our honeymoon, 10 years ago and now he's almost (not quite) as excited as I am to be setting sail shortly.

Thank you so much,  I had tried to search but had searched 'chef table' and not found what I was looking for.  This was really helpful 🙂

  5. I'm wondering about the Chef's table experience. I'm sailing on Arvia soon and have never done a Chef's table.  What is it? From reading the description it seems to be the standard Celebration menu served in the MDR, except it's served in the buffet restaurant with tablecloths?? Is that it or is there input from Chefs; do you watch the cooking or some other special addition to the experience? Has anyone eaten at Chef's table and can enlighten me? I'd be interested if there was something going on but otherwise I'd rather eat in the MDR!
