We were on the Oasis in 2014 and vegetarian options were limited and disappointing. I guess they feel vegetarians are happy with salad options, most meatless sandwiches had soggy lettuce and just unappetizing even soup selections were limited. We'll be on Oasis Aug 20, specifically for the eclipse cruise, I'm hoping that they've improved. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

we recently booked this cruise specifically because it will be in the Path of Totality on Aug 21. The eclipse will last over 90 minutes while the total eclipse will be seen for a little over 2 minutes. It's a once in a lifetime event and can't understand why there isn't more excitement. Just read that RC will be providing glasses for all passengers as they must be used before and after the sun is completely covered. During the 2 minute total eclipse it is safe to look directly without the glasses and see the corona. Just hoping it's a nice day...
Thanks for posting the map of the path. I would think the following days will be normal cruise sailing. For those interested I read that the surprise band on board for the event will be DNCE

We were on the Eurodam on Jan 3 and there was No Smoking in the Casino. Only smoking area was in a small area Aft on Lido Deck.

We will be on the Eurodam this Sunday and we are looking forward to seeing the changes on the ship especially the Neptune suites as this will be our 3rd cruise in a suite. We have been on over 20 cruises, different lines but mostly on Holland and have never had a bad cruise.
Sometimes service can be slow, but we cruise to relax. Yes, quality of food seems to have changed but we can always find something on the menu to our liking, or we go to a speciality restaurant. We like the anytime dining and less formal dress.
We alway meet interesting people and have never come across cruise staff not pleasant or overly accommodating.
I don't have to clean, tidy a room, make a bed, decide what to make for dinner or cook, what's not to like!!

Have been many times and always enjoy HMC. The sand is like powder, for more privacy walk aways down the beach there's always less people.
It's much nicer than Princess or Norwegian's private island.
Leaving Sunday on the Eurodam and HMC is the first stop.

I feel sorry for everyone in New England having such an awful winter.
Leaving a week from Sunday and looking forward to sailing on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Thanks for the information I knew I would get an answer. I feel foolish as I just didn't scan down far enough on the deck plan.

Where is the Tamirand restaurant located on the Nieuw Amsterdam. I know on the Eurodam it was on one of the top decks but I've looked on the Nieuw Amsterdam deck plan 3 times and I cannot find it.

I was there a few years ago and picked up 2 of the shells. When I went thru security to get back on the ship they saw them and asked that I return them. Don't remember the cruise line
Laundry on the Grand Princess
in Princess Cruises
Posted
We will be taking a 10 day Alaskan cruise in Sept on the Grand Princess and we are planning to pack light. Is anyone familiar with laundry facilities on board or cost to have items cleaned. Can't seem to find any information on Princess website.
