  1. We were on the Oasis in 2014 and vegetarian options were limited and disappointing. I guess they feel vegetarians are happy with salad options, most meatless sandwiches had soggy lettuce and just unappetizing even soup selections were limited. We'll be on Oasis Aug 20, specifically for the eclipse cruise, I'm hoping that they've improved. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

  2. we recently booked this cruise specifically because it will be in the Path of Totality on Aug 21. The eclipse will last over 90 minutes while the total eclipse will be seen for a little over 2 minutes. It's a once in a lifetime event and can't understand why there isn't more excitement. Just read that RC will be providing glasses for all passengers as they must be used before and after the sun is completely covered. During the 2 minute total eclipse it is safe to look directly without the glasses and see the corona. Just hoping it's a nice day...

Thanks for posting the map of the path. I would think the following days will be normal cruise sailing. For those interested I read that the surprise band on board for the event will be DNCE

  3. We will be on the Eurodam this Sunday and we are looking forward to seeing the changes on the ship especially the Neptune suites as this will be our 3rd cruise in a suite. We have been on over 20 cruises, different lines but mostly on Holland and have never had a bad cruise.

Sometimes service can be slow, but we cruise to relax. Yes, quality of food seems to have changed but we can always find something on the menu to our liking, or we go to a speciality restaurant. We like the anytime dining and less formal dress.

We alway meet interesting people and have never come across cruise staff not pleasant or overly accommodating.

I don't have to clean, tidy a room, make a bed, decide what to make for dinner or cook, what's not to like!!
