  1. On my Feb cruise on Spirit, I ended up with about 6800 points, which is the equivalent of running roughly $17k through the machines.  I took $3k to gamble with and came home with every penny of it (thanks to the one low-volatility machine in the casino).  I received a bounce-back offer the last night of the cruise for a free outside cabin, and my current online offer is a free interior on limited sailings next summer only.

Any comps above that - free steakhouse meals, free balcony cabins, etc., are at the discretion of the casino hosts.

This was exactly my experience on Spirit in February.  I was "casino buddies" with another passenger I didn't know, and we consistently had the same number of points at the same time.  I saw the hosts walk up to her one day and ask how the bottle of wine was at dinner the previous night, and then offer to send her and her husband to the steakhouse.  I later approached the host to ask if they could send me to the steakhouse (all by myself so it would have cost them less) and they looked in the system and said no.

  3. I asked Alex on Spirit back in February at his CD talk how the schedule was done.  He said they can make requests for specific ships, and sometimes that is honored and sometimes not.  He didn't specify whether longer tenured CDs were more likely to get what they asked for.

In 27 Carnival cruises (including 4 on the Spirit), I have never ever encountered a situation at a made-to-order food place when they wouldn't accommodate reasonable requests like that.

You must have run into a really anal retentive crewmember.

Same exact thing on Miracle in October.

And, FYI you don't have to stick to the Guy's menu. You can order a double cheeseburger or even a veggie burger with whatever fixin's you want.

On Spirit a few weeks ago, they would ONLY do what was on the menu.  Don't want donkey sauce?  Too bad.

We recently had an excursion at a tender port but only two of our party of three were on the excursion, the third person came with the others to the meeting point, at no point was there a check to see if all members of the party had an excursion ticket.

    We all tendered together.

Yup, I tendered in Belize a few weeks ago and no one ever checked my ticket until we got to the bus.

I would have the filet simply because it’s the smallest.   O way I could do justice to any of the others.  EM

You're not kidding.  That's what I went with, but then the damn cheesecake was GIGANTIC.

I don’t think anyone cruises out of mobile.

I'm literally sitting in my cabin in Mobile lol.  Based on the traffic getting here this morning, EVERYONE cruises out of Mobile!  (Mardi gras traffic didn't help)

Yes,  sorry, I didn't mean this Saturday,  just that it DST starts the day after cruise starts.

Ok, well I will just make sure our phones update to the updated ship time on March 10th.

The things you did to my brain haha... I'm sailing this Sunday, Feb. 11th and was like wait, it's THIS month?

All please beware of StockPerks and their hideous and unethical business practices. If you do not link your brokerage account or provide the entire brokerage statement they will try to harass you. They want people to desperately just provide them with their personal and financial information.

StockPerks is a data mining company that makes money by feeding off data and personally identifiable information of others and selling them to marketing companies. I am also not aware how they may use/miss-use financial information. They do not even have a customer service number to call them. They will also send you emails from generic or anonymous email IDs.

I understand we all want to get our OBC's but be careful. I sent them redacted statements with very little to none personal and financial information and they are giving me a hard time before finally approving it. Beware this is not a company that you want to share your information with.

Please reach out to your brokerage firm and request for a letter verifying you holding of the only the selected cruise line stocks. Every brokerage firm will provide you this. It will list out the number of shared you hold of the said company and the date of confirmation (which is usually end of the previous day). Once you get this letter, redact your address and brokerage account number and then send it to StockPerks. DO NOT LINK YOUR BROKERAGE ACCOUNT.  DO NOT SENT YOUR ENTIRE BROKERAGE STATEMENT NO MATTER WHAT YOU REDACT. Based on their desperation of getting the entire statement I am concerned that may have a way to scrub to remove redactions and access other information you do not want them to have.

This, exactly.  And none of us need ANOTHER company to get our personal info, thus making it more likely to be included in a breach somewhere.  This change caused me to liquidate all my CCL stock.
