So, starting to really crank up the planning.
For some of you, knowing that I’m just starting to look at excursions, entertainment and dinner planning is blasphemous. But, I’m not a “planner”. I prefer to book, fly to the port, get on board, wander around a bit, and then decide what I want to do, what I want to see, and what I want to drink/eat.
Anyway, looking at the White Pass Railway excursion in Skagway, it has changed times of departure to 2-ish p.m. It’s a nearly 3 hour train ride. Trying to find out when we depart Skagway, but am confounded to find that information. But, given we dock at 7:00 a.m., that means we would probably have to depart somewhere around 7:00 p.m. in order for the train excursion to have enough time.
Am I thinking right?
We arrive Skagway at 7:00 am and depart at 8:15 pm.

Seems a bit early to cancel because of snow. Forecasts show highs in the upper 30ºs now, and mid 40ºs predicted when we sail.

I agree, just passing on information that was shared when my friend called NCL.

I'm guessing that this didn't come from NCL. Correct?
My friend actually called NCL because she thought she was being charged again and it was actually a refund. The person she spoke with shared that information.

We will be on the Bliss 22-29 April with some friends. They just got their Skagway train ride/ Salmon bake credited because they are not sure if there will be too much snow on the tracks to run. 😳

Does anyone know if the ship's water is RO (reverse osmosis)? I saw a comment that someone took a behind the scenes tour and they have RO. If so, no need to buy the "flow" water offered.

It's been several years since we've been on a cruise and it appears a lot of things have changed. I have questions about the Add-ons that were included in our fare:
1. Does the two - 2 meal speciality dining package have additional hidden fees? Is there a way to make a reservation prior to leaving or does it have to be made on the ship? Which restaurants are best?
2. Does the unlimited open bar package have additional hidden fees?
3. I just read it's important to put your phone on airplane mode so your messages and emails don't continue to come in on your phone. If we do that, then what's the best way to use the 150 minute internet package? I also read there is an app that you can download to text and talk to others onboard and it's a one time fee of $9.95 per person to use the whole cruise. Is this what most use?

Hi! Can you please give advice on whether or not buying the unlimited internet package (not premium) is worth the $110 per person charge?

Do you always book excursions with the cruise line or do you venture off on others offered when you get off the ship?
