Hi there, I just booked the Ocean Gate hotel which I believe is associated with the Tranquilo.? There is a group called North Villages ( I think) described as small boutique hotels close to beach and shops. Trip Advisor consensus is clean, modern a bit funky. The pics look decent. Sort of 60's buildings that have been renovated. No breakfast but free parking and got it for$165 the weekend of Feb 14 when everything is sky high.
Anyone' stayed at these properties,?.

1973- graduated from colleage and recevied $300 in cash gifts from family,etc. Had to pay my sister $100 to go with me...on Sitmar Fairwind...total cost with airfare from Providence was $286..00 !!! As soon as she saw all the Italian crew lined up in the lobby she was a gonner... We loved Sitmar and sailed on Fairwind and Fairsea about 7 or 8 times until they were sold to Princess. Have since done Chandris, Celebrity, RCCL , Costa and will try HAL in April. I still like to cruise but boy, maybe because we were young and unsophisticated but I really loved the earlier days for me... smaller ships, less trying to sell you everything, more exotic food , continental service and nice dance music.

 

Now we go with our DH's and still nice but lost some of the excitement and the glamour.

We were in 7107 on Millie in Marchand thinking of a 10 day on Connie.next year. but no 2B cabins apparently available on the sailing we want. THere maybe cabins on deck 6 but we want to be sure the veranda is not blocked by lifeboat and I don't think it would be from what is here- from the great pictures posted here it looks like if you are on deck 6,7 or 9 you would not have obstructed views due to Lifeboats??

 

I'll call Celebrity too but always trust you guys more.:)
