  1. Last time i was on the Rotterdam was in May of this year.

    They didn't have Texas holdem.

They had blackjack/craps.   Im pretty sure they have Ultimate Texas Hold'em.  they definitely had roulette.

They do not have Pai Gow.

Do yourself a favor and just play blackjack if youre going to play.   Or slots but i never recommend playing slots where the payout is terrible and its worse on a cruiseship.

I will tell you my experience playing craps on the cruiseship.

    Night 1:   Lost 1000

    Night 2:  Lost 1000

Night 3:   Switched to Don't pass and lost 1000

    Night 4: Lost 1000

I was pretty sure they were cheating.

Night 5: switched to blackjack and won 5000.

  2. Hello!

Heading out the Alaska next week!    I wanted to take an excursion in Juneau on a helicopter to a glacier.    Anyone have any tour company recommendations for helicopters in Juneau?

I'm asking for a reputable company because HAL excursions are sold out for my cruise and I don't want to just choose any company cause I don't want to die in a crash.

  3. Anyone know if I can buy the Tribal Dance at Icy Strait Point independently on a website or something?   I tried to google search it but it seems like there's no website working?   Wondering if I am missing something.

Has anyone purchased these online or in-person without booking an excursion?    If so,  how much was it?     Thanks!

  4. Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has Tmobile or Sprint and have used their cell phone on an Alaskan cruise?

Did it work at sea?   Did it work in Juneau,  Glacier Bay,   Sitka,   Ketchikan?

Just wondering if i need to get wifi or not.   Better if i can skip out on it altogether.

    Thanks!

  5. Hey guys,  if anyone has been on a HAL Alaskan cruise:

I noticed that our upcoming Alaskan Cruise on the Eurodam has a lot of port nights (Juneau 1pm-10pm;   Icy strait point 6-11pm,   Victoria Canada 6pm-11:59pm).  Does this mean that the casino will be closed during those times?

It doesn't seem like the casino will be open very much if they have to be closed when the boat is docked?

Am I missing how getting Club Orange would fix waiting in line at Lido? CO is not for lunch, for example. CO doesn't have any advantage at Customer Services, nor most anywhere else where you might have to wait in line.

Apologies, I should have been more clear.    Waiting in Line at the Lido and waiting for tables to clear up at the Lido deck made me realize that I prefer MDR over Lido.  And since I like to keep things flexible regarding my dining time, I thought CO would be great for my needs.          I had so many guest service issues on my Rotterdam cruise.  They kept overcharging my statement and I kept seeing CO people go in a separate line straight to their designated customer service rep,  while I waited consistently 30 minutes every time i had to go to guest services,  which was like every day.   And all that time wasted.

  7. Since the Eurodam doesn't have a separate Club Orange dining room, I am wondering if it's even worth it to buy Club Orange for our cruise.

I am interested in buying Club Orange because my last cruise on the Rotterdam was a ***** show to get a table in the Lido.   Also I had to visit guest services like 5-6 times on a 7 day cruise and I had to wait in line everytime lol.

  8. No Classical Music on the Rotterdam for our May 20 cruise.     I complained and they basically told me to piss off.

Then I asked them,   don't you think it's odd to name your decks after classical music composers when there's no classical music onboard?

  9. Yeah i'm on the next cruise on Rotterdam that leaves on May 20.   I just got an email that our boarding is delayed because of cleaning to be done.          Now I'm packing masks,  extra liquid soap,  sandwich gloves, clorox wipes, and extra hand sanitizer.     Also, a bottle of Pepto bismo.       Maybe I should just cancel my cruise.      ugh.

Make your concern known! We were on the Rotterdam this past February. Most every Lincoln Center performance was packed and countless complaints about the loss of LC were placed at Guest Services but alas, the HAL bean counters didn't care.

I will!    What a shame.   That's literally one of the main reasons I chose HAL as my first cruise!  I booked 2 HAL cruises this summer....  Now I hear LC is gone, bummer.
