Would like to know if there are any smoking areas on deck for Virgin ships... Without annoying or offending any other fellow cruisers, is it acceptable to smoke cigars or Shisha (hookah) in these areas?

Does anyone know what type of xray / scanner the Virgin Valiant ship uses for re-embarkation for bags and individuals? I'm assuming they use the full x-ray machine for bags. Do they use an x-ray machine for people as well, or is it just an metal detector you walked through like in the airport?
