We took our kids (then 5 and 10) on the Nieuw Statendam last year at March break. It was a 12 day cruise so less kids but maybe around 20 who attended Club HAL regularly. Our kids made fast friends and really enjoyed the kids club and the ship overall. We usually took them for a quick dinner in the Lido and dropped them at Club HAL before going to the dining room for a nice adult meal.

If you are on the Signature Beverage Package your limit is $11 per drink. If you want to order something more expensive you pay the entire cost.
The Elite Beverage Package allows drinks up to $15, so you may want to consider upgrading if you want more expensive drinks. Most cocktails are at the $11 or less level, however.Wow, glad I asked, this is not what we are used to on Celebrity, where you only pay the difference.

If you order a drink over $11, do you only pay the difference + gratuity?

I just booked this cruise with the travel agency related to the national warehouse club and got a great deal (better than the Exciting deal posted above).
Club HAL/Kids Club.... How is it?

I’m on the Oosterdam right now and they have drastically changed Club HAL. It is now only for 3-6 year olds. Our 7 and 12 year old have no programming available. Instead there is a drop in arcade with limited supervision for “tweens and teens” which is 7-17 years old. They can come and go as they please. Fortunately for us our 12 year old can be trusted to watch her younger brother a bit but we are really unimpressed with this change which was not communicated to us before boarding. Our kids loved the old Club HAL programming and have been struggling to find friends on board which was never a problem when there was actual programming.
