Sure, but do they tell you what went wrong with the airplane, and how soon it will be fixed?  And, if a substitute airplane has been scheduled, do they tell you that?  That's what folks here seem to be wanting to know.

They will tell you it's mechanical or a flight crew issue or a weather issue.  So yes.

Actually, a lot do in fact.  I have gone to book a resort or hotel and right there in the reservation system is a warning that the main pool or restaurant is closed due to construction.  They want customers to be aware as that may change their plan.  My flight to LAX has already been adjusted once by 15m, over 80 days out from departure.  Even Uber will give you a warning that your ride may take longer due to traffic delays.  We know when railroad workers, pilots, etc, will strike so that we can make adjustments.  Why is it too much to ask that Carnival alert us that this issue could arise during our cruise so we could make adjustments?

It’s not.  People just want to tell others to suck it up and enjoy your vacay anyway.
If my engine light is on in my vehicle for months, I’ll either ignore it and drive anyway, or get it looked at.  If the mechanic tells me I need a new part but it is still drive-able, and I decide to take her for a road trip without necessary repairs and it dies, then I can suck it up and blame nobody but myself.

Airlines do all the time. They actually rearrange planes to stay on schedule. There is only one panorama and they cannot plug in a different ship

  3. I just got off the phone with my PvP in regards to the panorama propulsion issue as my cruise is 12/9. I was informed that there is a team of engineers working on a repair and hopefully will be done in two weeks. I was told carnival will be reaching out to guests with their options on affected cruises.  That is all.

If you are in California, you can check in at 9:00pm the day before your check-in date.

If your check-in date is November 18, you can check-in November 17 at 9:00pm.  This because the check-in time is based on eastern time.

    Thank you.   Will do

To fully check in you will need to supply info such as the identification you will use, like passport numbers etc, Also Emergency contact information, credit card or debit card info for setting up the onboard account. it will ask about flights before and after the cruise etc.

This can be done in stages and only partially done in one sitting if desired. usually the important thing is to grab an early check in time for embarkation day , the rest can be completed later.

Thank you.  I appreciate your information

    Hello friendly cruisers!

Which cabin would be the best of the above - 2477 or 2473 on Carnival Splendor?  I have a choice of either of them and not sure which one I should choose.  Thank you for any assistance you can give.  Cheers!

    How about googling the cabin

As an aside, there is really no need to know where your muster station is beforehand,  You just ask the first crew member you see onboard.  They all know where the muster stations are, and they encourage everyone to visit theirs as soon as they get on the ship.

Exactly.   Thank you .  I found it online in 15 seconds

On our last cruise on the Carnival Venezia, it seemed like the photographers were more aggressive than the local taxi drivers in Nassau trying to sell you a island tour.
Yes there is probably a quota each photographer has to make in order to keep their job, but it seemed very overwhelming where a no thank you wasn’t enough to turn them away. They would keep insisting, especially once you walk off the gangway in to the port. In my opinion, I feel most people won’t buy random pictures they didn’t want to take in the first place.
Nowadays, Everyone has a camera on their phone and can take their own photos. Prices have become very expensive and I doubt a picture with a giant towel animal is a popular sale. Has anyone else experienced the aggressive behavior of the paparazzi on other ships recently?

What a way to stop, smile, and take a photo and enjoy your day

    Hi

We are on the Panorama in January.  We have a flight out of LAX at 5pm so are trying to decide between getting the Carnival shuttle to the airport or renting a car close to the port and doing some stuff along the way.

    2 Questions:

1...what is the latest we can get off the ship?

2...what is the latest the shuttle runs to LAX? (can't seem to find this info)

Anyone's help here would be appreciated!!

U cannot check into the airport until three hours before your flight

We just booked Carnival Venezia for Dec 2023 for Carnival credit. We had credit from 2019 Sunshine cruise to Bermuda which was a disaster going into a hurricane on the way to Bermuda from NYC. They extended the credit due to Covid. Got an ext Terrezza aft cabin for just taxes, port charges and gratuities. It should be great!

    How was yours free

I have been looking into the special diet offerings available on Carnival.  They mention low carb, sugar, fat, or cholesterol.  Has anyone had any success working with the culinary team on low sodium options?  I would appreciate any info on what you have been able to do to help stay on track without eating plain salads every meal.  Thanks in advance.

I added it to my special request. All will contact the mdr and my own due diligence

Just back a week ago from our Sunshine fall break cruise and have started looking for a mom/daughter cruise for my kiddo's next fall break! 🙂

Based on our likely fall break week (2024-25 calendar not out yet), I've narrowed it down to two five day cruise options (only looking at shorter cruises right now).

    Option 1:

    Carnival Sunrise from Miami

    Nassau/Half Moon Cay/Grand Turk

    Option 2:

    Carnival Freedom from Port Canaveral

    Amber Cove/Grand Turk

Pricing is comparable. We usually book balconies, but at a minimum I would want a window. I also prefer to be on a mid-deck (7 is our favorite deck). If we go with the Freedom, I would probably be tempted to book the bowling alley balcony cabin aft Deck 6 or 7. But for this sailing, the only cabins with windows would be deck 1 or 2. If we go with the Sunrise, I would consider booking the Interior w/ Obstructed Walkway View near the secret deck forward on Deck 7. Kind of seems best of both worlds - access to the secret desk just steps from our cabin, window and $300 cheaper than any balcony I'd consider. With it being me and the kiddo (9 year girl), I think it would be a good option for us!

The itinerary on the Sunrise isn't my fave. We literally just did Nassau and HMC. If we booked this one, we would probably just stay on the ship in Nassau which would probably be very nice. And the addition of Grand Turk is appealing. The Freedom itinerary is good. I like the 2 sea days and I've never been to Amber Cove before. So that would be new for us.

Sunrise has more bells and whistles than Freedom and would be a new to me ship. But I'm sure the kiddo would be happy with either as long as there are waterslides!

Lots to consider! Help me pick! Or give me your insights on the ships!

You can choose.  You know best

Book excursions early (if you're planning to) because they can sell out. Also price compare because CCL has a price match if you can find the exact same elsewhere.

Don't worry bout flights. Some people on here even recommend driving up the night before in case of traffic or accidents. Everyone's risk tolerance is a little different. I would fly the night before but that's only because I like the departure city to be part of my vacation planning. I treat it something like an extra port day.

Thank you. I’m not concerned at all..

Thank you for the report.  Doesn't sound too encouraging to me.   I take my daughters and grandchildren on the Sunshine next March. 🤔  How was the behavior with other passengers?  I have watched several questionable videos.

Passenger behavior can vary week to week
