You can also go by ferry from Santa Margherita and there are several options. There should be info online.
Should your plans for Cinque Terre not work for you due to sailing arrival and departure times, I can recommend exploring Santa Margherita, and taking the very short ferry crossing to/from Portofino.
We were there in May and both are lovely to explore. The ferry crossing is also scenic.
Thank you, I appreciate your help, and think that’s what we may do.

Thank you for your response. What city do you recommend seeing? Do we need to get tickets ahead of time.

Hi, I am on the Celebrity Edge 8/30/19 sailing, and it has a tender stop in Santa Margherita. I would like to see Cinque Terre with a tour guide. Other than the Celebrity tour, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I think it's a crap shoot. The last time I requested a large table on Celebrity I was seated at a table I believe of 10. There were 3 couples, a mother in law, myself, a co-worker who was traveling with me but in another cabin & someone who never showed up. It was a combination of Canada, British & US. We got along very well.
I think Carnival does the best job of seating solo cruisers together.
I have chosen select dining. There is, maybe, another lady traveling with me but in a different cabin. She never goes to the dining room but I do. I like the specialty restaurants so if you want to go to one or all I'd be happy to join you. I'm in cabin 9243.
I'd like to try one of the specialty restaurants too. I'm in cabin 7286

I'll be joining you. I'm doing a B2B with the October 10th cruise.
I'm glad to know I won't be the only solo cruiser. I decided to do the assigned seating at the early diner. I asked for a large table in the hopes of meeting other people. I requested to be put at a table with other solo cruisers, but I'm not sure if Celebrity does that.

I'm taking my first solo cruise on Celebrity on the 10/21/16 Reflection transatlantic cruise leaving from Rome. Are there any other solos on the cruise?
Barcelona Day Tours - New Thread

We used Barcelona Day Tours on our recent western Mediterranean cruise on Celebrity Edge. We did the full day tour which went to Monserrat, and then to Park Guell and the outside of La Famiglia. We had a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide, who shared her wealth of knowledge of Barcelona. We traveled in a modern Mercedes mini bus, which allowed us to get into some narrower spots. This is the second time I’ve used Barcelona Day Tours, as I previously went on their tour to Girona and the Costa Bravo, which was also excellent. I highly recommend Barcelona Day Tours.
