Thank you for your suggestion about the Falls. We would appreciate knowing the contact information for the guide you used for our upcoming visit in December.
Many thanks for your help.

There was a very knowledgeable naturalist on board giving lectures in the celebrity theater as well as over the PA system.

Just off the Millennium northbound from Vancouver. Here are some thoughts:
Vancouver-stayed at the Pan-Pacific Hotel. Wonderful hotel and easy access from the hotel lobby to the cruise ship terminal.
Embarkation-Went down around 11:00AM. There were 3 lines. Security first, maybe 5 minutes. Then customs, maybe 15 minutes. Then Celebrity, maybe 10 minutes, so approximately 30 minutes to get on board.
Stateroom-had CC class on deck 8. Was ready around 1:30PM. Luggage did not arrive until 5:00 PM, and not just for us, but for many passengers. This was much later than our previous 2 sailings on the Millennium. New carpeting and upholstery in stateroom. Very clean bathroom and shower. Ample storage space. Comfortable bed. Absolutely no complaints about the room.
Food-main dining room was too hectic for us, so we only ate there twice. Ate in Qsine and Olympic once. Wonderful meals both times. Can't put my finger on it, but the buffet, even though it was quite substantial and had lots of different ethnic choices, just didn't measure up to our last sailings. Just marginally not as good.
Crew and captain-very accessible and helpful at all times. Activity director, Rachel and activity host, Josh were everywhere and always ready to please.
Entertainment-my description would be, something for everyone, you just have to pick and choose. The Cirque acrobats were pretty amazing.
Packages-had the classic liquor package. Confusing and vague as to what's included and what's not. You just have to ask. I had to occasionally pay full price for a drink not covered. The weakest selection is wine by the glass. Only a few possibilities.
Dress code-10 years ago we found around 80% of the men wearing tuxedos on formal night, 4 years ago it was around 40%. On this cruise, it was more like 10%. A lot of men in suits, not tuxes. Also, a good number of people did not go to the MDR for formal night, but ate at the buffet.

If more than one ship is leaving from Canada Place, is there one customs and security line for all ships, or does each cruise line have its own customs and security check-in?

Because Bistro on Five has become so popular as an alternative to the buffet, almost everyone knows about it now and it is almost impossible to get a seat. We waited over 45 minutes on our last cruise and then another 20 minutes to have our order taken. It's no longer a secret.

We are traveling with 10 family members on the Millennium (grandparents, parents, and children). What is the best way to keep in touch on the ship?

Have been there twice. Great atmosphere. Ecletic. Unfortunately, it's a little pricey for what you get.

Just off the Island Princess to Panama Canal. A life master from Portland gave great lessons and we played duplicate. Have booked the Millennium to Alaska in July. Called Celebrity and asked if they had bridge instruction on the cruise. Was told no.

We are traveling on the Millennium to Alaska in July with 4 grandchildren ages 4 to 11 in concierge class. Will we have priority boarding in Vancouver so that we can get them settled and have lunch?

Am traveling on the Millennium in July. Was told by Celebrity that the balcony partitions for concierge class can be removed on S class but not M class.

Am traveling with 4 grandchildren ages 5, 7, 10, and 12 on the Millennium to Alaska on July 4, 2014. The Celebrity web-site has a description of their children's programs, but I am interested in knowing what they actually provide in terms of daytime activities, nighttime activities, baby sitting, etc. Would appreciate any info.
Connecting staterooms on Silhouette
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
This may already be well-known information, but I was surprised by Celebrity's definition of connecting staterooms. We travelled with our two grandsons on the Silhouette to the Eastern Caribbean and booked connecting staterooms. In a hotel, when you enter room A or room B from the hallway, there is an interior door that connects each room. This is not the case on the Silhouette. There is no interior door connecting the two staterooms. There is a small vestibule with doors that close outside of each stateroom. To go from one to the other, you have to completely walk out of one stateroom and enter the other from its door. Very inconvenient. So if I were asked if the Solstice class ships had connecting staterooms, I would say "sort of".
