  1. We booked in April when the exchange rate NCL was offering was 1.09%. We were never advised by our TA about the exchange rate, or that we could be billed in Canadian dollars. As a result it has cost us over $850.00 Canadian for the higher exchange fees. NCL will not acknowledge that the TA made a mistake, and will not adjust our cost. If your Canadian, it all depends who you get for a TA, and whether they know about the exchange rates, and whether they advise you about it. It's sort of a buyer beware situation. Hope that other Canadians will have better luck with their booking, then we did.

  2. "You haven't been unfairly treated. You didn't ask for a perk and apparently your PCC didn't know to mention it. Not an error, just an unfortunate circumstance".

Kingmaker_Inc.- Unfortunately, I'm not as smart, wise and experienced as you are. I'm just a retired, senior from Western Canada who would like to be treated fairly and honestly when making a purchase. I don't think that I should, or have to know all of the tricks, or exactly what to ask. An honest representative should have explained all of the options to me when she knew that I was a Canadian. Buyer beware, or pay the consequences. Is that the right way?

  3. ilovetotravel1977, yes, we booked directly with NCL representative, Melissa Zegans. Even now, she does not admit to knowing anything about the lower currency exchange rates that are being offered to Canadian customers. It seems that their attitude is "buyer be ware"! The less people who know about it, or find out about it, the better. Norwegian does not seem to treat all of their customers equally. We are not happy, and will not be very happy cruisers if this is not resolved.

  4. We're from Canada as well. When we booked our Norwegian cruise to the Panama Canal (NOV. 19) back in April, and we were not told that we could be billed in Canadian dollars, or anything about the lower currency exchange rate which was available by our NCL representative. We feel as if we have really been unfairly treated, since it looks like we have just overpaid about $1000.00 Canadian based on the 1.11 exchange rate that was being offered to some Canadian customers at that time. Very curious to know who it was that offered these rates to you? We are now being told, that they never existed, and nobody seems to know anything about them. We are very frustrated by all of this and are taken back by the attitude of the NCL representatives we are dealing with now to try and resolve this very expensive mistake on their part. Any information, or advice as to what we should do, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  5. We are wanting to do a Belize City Tour with Splash Wave Tours. Anyone have any good, or bad experiences using this company for tours in Belize? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  6. Will be first time visitor to Belize in November. Is there such a thing as a city tour? We would just like to be able to get off the ship, and do a tour of the city. Tour operator names would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  7. We will be staying in Miami for 5 days after our cruise in November. This will be our first time visit to Miami. We will not be renting a car, but would like to do a Miami city tour, and tours to Key West and the Everglades. We would like to book a hotel room using Hotwire, but are unsure of which area of Miami to book the hotel in, that would be best suited for sightseeing and catching the tours from. Thank you.
