Just booked this for Jan 27. This balcony has the forward facing side window. I read that these cabins could be claustrophic due to the MC rail.
I have the option to change to the middle sky suite but I thought the side window would be nice. Anyone stay in one of these? This is my first suite and
got a decent rate, not a fan of the IV cabins which are a lot less expensive. Thank you, Bob S

I was there last December, it was about 15 minutes from the port and probably $10 cab ride. The beach is very nice and quiet, $20 for 2 chairs and umbrella. The only problem was the taxi station leaving the port was a madhouse with 3 ships in port. Im going back this December and will take the water taxi to Great Bay Beach which looks nice, you can even walk to it! Enjoy your cruise!

I just got back from the 12/16 cruise. Almost everyone I talked too did not like the IV cabins including myself. I had a great time but would never book an IV again.

Im in AQ, port side deck 9 now. Bed by balcony not good, was supposed to have bed by bathroom but they screwed up my res. Im getting my original cabin back today. I would change if you could.

Go to you-tube, you will see lots of video reviews showing the IV cabins.

Im on the Edge now, not happy with the IV, much prefer a standard balcony. Would not book Edge again.

Thanks for the reply, I will deal without the curtain. I think I lot of cruisers will be complaining about this,

Hi VT,
Does the shade only cover the exterior glass. I like to site on the balcony while my wife sleeps but I dont think that can be done in the IV rooms, can it? Were going Dec 16.
Thank you

I just got back from the Sunshine on 4/22. I prepaid for the premium which was not great. Guest services told me the signal all comes from the same satellite so there is no speed difference. I requested a refund from Carnival, awaiting their reply. The Carnival hup app chat feature was also worthless. That said, I only got the internet for emergency use and enjoyed the cruise. I just recently sailed the Sunshine, returned April 22. We did have a great time but this will be our last on Carnival, too loud and crowded. After having sailed on the Celebrity Summit 2 years ago we noticed a big difference. Much more refined and upscale. Will stick to Celebrity or Princess for future cruises. At 62, Im done with Carnival but still feed they offer a good experience for the money.

Thanks for the reply, do you have to buy the passes ahead of time or can you get them same day?

I had a bad experience in Alaska, poured every day in late August, about 10 years ago. I took the Celebrity Summit from Bayonne to Bermuda 2 years ago and it was my favorite trip. The nice part is the ship is there for 3 days so it is very relaxing. Most people rave about Alaska but it was a bust for me. Good Luck.

What a great review and photos. I was on the cruise before yours, 8/16-8/23,
loved it. My first time with Celebrity and was quite impressed. We only ate in the main dining room and were very happy. Food was always good, enjoyed the Oceanview Café also. Might even go again next summer! Happy sailing.

I was on this trip also - first time on Celebrity. Loved it, being from NJ such an easy trip. Highly recommend!

Hi Everyone, I'm booked on Summit on 8/16. Been reading about poor a/c on Summit. Someone posted it is 10 degrees too warm. Does this mean the cabins will only cool to 80, not 70? I will not be able to deal with this in August. Thinking about switching to Breakaway. HELP!
