Your TA can also provide a booking confirmation that shows both your dining and bed configuration.
Thank you!

Thanks for the replies. I’ll have to ask my travel agent who booked the cruise for us.

Ok I know this is going to sound stupid but….., here goes! I have completed some time ago my online check in etc. I can’t remember what I chose for my dinning time. How do I go and see this? I have gone back into my online booking but when I try and look it just keeps saying online check in complete.

This would be very unusual. Do you have a special rate, like are you a travel-agent yourself (forget what that rate is called), or casino rate? Like Haljo said, you should be able to choose dining preference from making the booking.
How did you book? PCC, Travel agent, or HAL operator? That person or method should be able to put you down for any time not booked full.
So sorry I’m made a mistake! I have booked two cruises, one with Hal and one with princess and it’s the princess cruise that is telling me that. I will go and make my dining choice now with my Holland America cruise. Thank you

Yes you can do it when you make the booking. As soon as it gives you a confirmation number, on that same screen (not in the email, but still on the website, so don't navigate away from it), it will ask if you want to make changes. Directly beneath the confirmation # will he dining choice on the left and bed configuration on the right. If you missed that, you can call in and ask for it to he changed.
My booking says I can’t make dinning choices until final payment of cruise? Is that correct?

Thank you so much!

Hi!
It appears this is a handicap-accessible cabin and as such it does not have a sofa, rather a firm chair (desk chair) and a storage cube shown AT the desk. Here it is the mirror-image on the Oosterdam (sister ship):
https://halfacts.com/1081-oosterdam/
It also has a curb-less shower, per the diagram here:
Oh dear. Once onboard, if I asked nicely for a more comfortable chair or sofa they would bring me one? I’m happy to pay for it.

Can you give a cabin #? You can also check halfacts.com westerdam and look for your cabin. Lots of times there are pictures.
We are booked on Westerdam in an accessible signature suite cabin. It has a couch and 2 desks with 2 desk chairs (not a recliner)
Cabin number is 1082

Hi again 🤗. When booking my cruise on westerdam I had to take the last accessible cabin left and unfortunately it’s not a balcony. It is oceanview which is fine (hey I’m on a cruise!) but my question is in an oceanview cabin will I have an armchair or a couch? It’s just I’m not a good sleeper and sometimes need to get up and sit in a chair or on a couch due to my back. I know in princess who I’ve cruised mostly they have removed armchair or couch from all cabins below suite.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Forgive me if this is a silly question but we are sailing on westerdam out of Auckland to Sydney. What currency do I tip in? I don’t mean the normal gratuities I mean things like room service etc. Australian dollars? US dollar? NZ dollars?

I see in manage my cruise on HAL website that they offer a coffee type package that includes a $25 coffee card as well as some sort of gift type thing. I was wondering if they offer a coffee card to purchase just on its own? We have decided against getting the drinks package for our 14 day cruise although we enjoy the odd cocktail, wine or g and t we aren’t big drinkers and some days we may not drink at all. But we do enjoy a good coffee.

Once you log in you should see "Itinerary" at the top on left side. Click on that and your shore excursions should be listed under each port. HAL's website is absolutely the worst in the business, sorry you are having so much trouble!
Thank you so much! With your help I’ve figured it out! I knew it would be something easy!

Hi again! I am use to princess cruise line web site and im finding HALs a little confusing. Could someone please tell me where I can see the shore excursions for my cruise, choosing dinning options etc and other optional extras for purchase for the cruise? I’ve gone into manage my cruise, completed the details they ask for to board and it says it is complete but I can’t find all the details for my cruise. I know it’s probably so obvious and I’ll feel embarrassed when told but for the life of me I can’t find it????

No need to be stressed about using your scooter on a Holland America cruise. Many people do. HAL knows very well how to meet their needs.
Oh that is very reassuring. Thank you! I do make sure I’m very considerate to others while getting around. I’m very conscious of other people.

Firstly please forgive me if this has been answered. I am reading through this thread from page 1 and there’s now hundreds of pages 😱. I have cruise quite a few times but never with HAL. My question is about the muster still using a mobility scooter. We will be sailing on westerdam out of Auckland. I have read on this thread that muster is done standing outside. Due to a back injury I am unable to stand for long periods of time. Am I able to use my mobility scooter at muster?

I know the problem has been solved based on the ship docking at OPT, & I am very happy for the OP, but I have to admit I really was looking forward to following along on that scooter trip from White Bay to CQ 😮
Haha! 😉

Just to let you and the others who kindly helped me on here, I contacted Holland America direct and yes there is traditional dining times (early and late) as well as anytime dinning so my TA unfortunately was incorrect. We have now booked our dinning so thank you very much! If I had just listened to my TA I wouldn’t have booked any dinning time.
