  1. 1) Thank you tonit964, I didn't realize that this "Sky" cabin was essentially the same as the "Discovery" cabin, and the YouTube video you site is really nicely done.

    2) Thank you, too, Snaxmuppet, my DH does a lot of editing, I'm sure he won't mind fixing the blue!

  2. Despite searching , and not having cruised Princess in some years, I have a couple of questions re these Discovery Window Suites S107, S108: 1)Is there a window that opens for fresh air? 2)Is there some serious negative about these suites? It seems odd that these 2 cabins are still available despite the cruise we are considering being less than 6 months away. They have no balcony, but we find we rarely use balconies anyway, except for fresh air and photos. Many thanks for any available info.

  3. This was our first time buying Celebrity’s insurance…..sadly, I was feeling lazy so I just clicked on the insurance rather than using our usual company. The stress of Celebrity’s having deleted the insurance wasn’t worth the ease of my click! I ended up ultimately being charged 3x for the insurance and refunded twice. Never again!

  4. Oh my! This happened to me, too. I received an email that I’d cancelled Cruise insurance and was told I did that on the date that I started the checkin for our Aug. 25 cruise. I didn’t see how I could have possibly made that error…fixing that got a bit cumbersome, I’ll skip those details, something about it was after final payment so they had to make special arrangements. Particularly upsetting because my husband was unexpectedly in the hospital at the time! Thank you for posting.

  5. My husband uses a bi-pap. Despite my requesting an extension cord and distilled water in advance, on board we’ve had to ask the attendant to supply both. But that’s always been done quickly, no problem. Also, I bring a couple of small battery candles so I’m reminded in the night that a lumpy cord is in my path.

  6. Many thanks for the responses. sptrout, yes my husband uses a humidifier and it's a bi-pap, so I may have to skip the battery idea as I expect his machine uses too much power....the charger I was looking at is $400, maybe it's much $$ to experiment with.

Mahdnc, I'd read in my searches about the magnetic ceiling hooks...very clever!

Now, I just need to know if there's a plug behind the bed in the Sky Suite. I'm sure we could get cruise staff to pull the bed out for the European plug.

  7. Can I assume that the Solstice Sky Suite will need to have a c-pap/bi-pap extention cord taped down? Or perhaps there is an outlet behind the bed which could be used with a European outlet? Our previous 3 cabins always felt "tacky" with the dirty taped extention cord. We're also considering purchasing a portable battery which could be charged at the desk during the day. Any info is appreciated!

WOW...Assuming I'm being "rude" absolutely unnecessary !!! But thanks for that !!!

Well, Ashland, THANK YOU so much for getting this 2nd ArriveCAN requirement clarified. Though I've followed (I thought) specific requirements and thought I understood everything, I hadn't noted that after arrival at an airport hotel I'll need to do the 2nd ArriveCAN. No one on the Celebrity boards has been talking of this, at least I hadn't seen it. Have a good cruise!

  9. Our experience on the Infinity last week: I'd requested and had written confirmation of the need for an extension cord and distilled water for the bi-pap, but they were not in the cabin. As it turned out, there was an outlet behind the bed so only the water was needed. We mentioned the need to the butler and the attendant, distilled water was in the cabin after dinner, no problem.

  10. Cruisestitch, thanks, we were in a Concierge line at a far end, were told much later there was a Suite line at opposite end. Couldn't see progress of lines or desk labeling due to crowds. And yes, I told a lady directing us we were in a suite and she didn't seem to care...only asked if we were Elite, which I didn't know (or care).

  11. On Coastal cruise now, enjoying. But, as suite guests for the first time, isn't there a faster boarding registration line that we should have been sent to? We were in line well over an hour at San Pedro and it was certainly not a Suites line. Thanks! I'm just wondering!

  12. For what it's worth, when I found that form and didn't know how it should be returned, I phoned X and requested the bi-pap extension cord and distilled water. And I asked to be emailed something to verify the need/request. No problem. BTW, I also bought some battery tea lights, because of a concern that if the cord is across the carpet I wanted something to light the floor area so I wouldn't trip on it. Good luck!
