I've only attended one Meet and Greet.  That was over a year ago and there were no beverages and snacks.  How long ago were they doing that?

We attended one (and only one) in August 2022. There was some little plates of cheese and crackers, so I guess that counts. We had the booze package, so we did have drinks but we would have had them anyway.

Was nice to meet (well, see…) the crew, but it struck as a glorified sales presentation for Cruise Next. Basically a waste of time, in our opinion.

Yea I never heard of that. I eat fresh fish in Florida all the time. I get it fresh from Alaska and Hawaii.

I think they should havejust replaced the trout with salmon people get confused with steel head trout is basically the same.

The difference is generally between “frozen” and “shipped in a box on ice but not technically frozen.”

It’s splitting hairs. Unless you’ve caught it that day, it isn’t really “fresh” either way.

Disney is the model of what NCL should strive for.

I could not possibly disagree more, for several reasons. But since this is strictly about food/dining, I’d much rather have NCL emulate Virgin’s dining than Disney’s.

Or better yet, just go back to what NCL was ten years ago and just charge me more.

I'm a CPA who has worked in corporate taxes for 40 years so here I am, lol.

I may be biased, but I am not fond of the financial planner arena. I understand why people use them but thankfully I don't need one and have to find out the hard way if they are competent. I take the leap of faith when I need an electrician or a plumber.....

I’m a mortgage underwriter and look at people’s taxes basically every day.

I too do not understand the appeal/need for financial planners, especially since a generic S&P fund beats nearly every managed fund over time.

We haven't sailed on Epic yet but are booked this fall in the Haven for a big birthday.  Due to the mixed opinions, figured that's the best way to travel on the ship.  First Haven experience so excited about that!

    Enjoy your cruise.

All the OP had to do to stop the leak until it was fixdc is close the valve on the feed line to the toilet.  At least that would have stopped the leak until it got fixed properly.

That might have caused plumbing issues on the rest of the ship.  Not to mention that they shouldn’t have to.

Do you think I track where the OP is cruising to, or do you think that maybe...just maybe...this is a question that you should ask them?

FWIW...you could have also just as easily asked "Where is the op cruising to that does not have that requirement?".

Do you think that just maybe you shouldn’t answer if you don’t know what you are talking about?

If the expiration date on your passport is in August, then your passport is already "expired" as you'll need 6 months remaining on your passport to sail. IOW, you lost the ability to use this passport for cruising back in February. You might as well renew it now...you gain nothing by waiting.

Please do some research before posting inaccurate information. The 9/25/24 Joy cruise leaves Quebec (Canada) and goes to NYC (US).  The 6 month expiration does not apply. You can enter up to the expiration date. However since the OP’s passport does expire in August, it obviously needs to be renewed.

But your “it’s already expired” bit is completely wrong.

I’ve been to a clothing optional beach in St Maarten and no one, I mean NO ONE, who was nude needed to be seen without clothing 🤮

Unless you’re trying to “hook up” with someone (which is the exact opposite of the philosophy of naturism), what anyone else looks like should be irrelevant. The point is to be comfortable in your own skin with like minded people.

    We’ve been to multiple locations….

    There's three types of stocks:

The one where it looks like a staircase going up.

The one where it looks like a staircase going down, or worse, a slide.

And then there's the Mountain Ranges.

    4) Dead Money. Stock like utilities or consumer staples that stay basically flat, typically held for dividend income.

I will eat in the Buffet.  But, it's either for a LATE lunch, after the crowds have dissipated, or a Late Snack (again, after the crowd has dissipated) after a long day off the ship and I don't feel like being "fussed" over in the Haven restaurant.

Nice having Room Service for breakfast in a Haven cabin, though.  I do love the Nespresso machines in room.

I hate buffets, especially on a crowded cruise ship. But yes, if it is in a hurry or what you’re describing then ok.

Kind of a related question: what is with the people that camp out and monopolize the tables? Eat and GTFO. Don’t play cards, don’t read, etc. Other people need the dining tables to…dine.

Agreed.  Out of more than 340 evenings spent on board NCL ships, I think we have eaten dinner in the buffet maybe once or twice.

I’m nowhere near that number (maybe a tenth) but I know we have eaten exactly ZERO dinners there.

"NCL topped first quarter earnings estimates. However, shares dropped after quarterly revenue fell short of analysts' expectations."

So...in other words...they made more money than was estimated, but because it fell short of what the "experts" expected, the stock tanked.

Not being a financial whiz, I'm having a hard time reconciling those two things.

In any case, my whopping 100 shares that I bought at $12.90 are still making a little money (along with our OBC benefit).

It’s both good news and bad news. Happens all the time.

Wow!  I am not sure if before now I ever saw anyone complain about being goven $100 they were mot due ang did not deserve/  1st time for everything.

$100 doesn’t do anything for me when I’ve spent thousands booking a specific cruise for specific ports.

If you bought tickets for an expensive concert then show up and it is someone else, wouldn’t you be upset?

It has gotten to the point that I believe NCL is selling cruises to places that they know they won’t go.

I’ve had this exact same thought and thought I was just off the rails with some crazy conspiracy theory.

I don’t….think…they are but it has been happening quite a lot and I’ve wondered.
