See you there - will be on the same trip. We did get insurance and will decide soon if we are going to use it. Passau - Pittsburgh - both at the confluence of three rivers!

Not familiar with the term shore point. 

It is Viking. Insurance is through Trip Mate, and is supposed to be ‘cancel at any time for any reason’. At least according to the excruciatingly fine print. 

And sorry for the confusion. By ‘shore points’, I meant cities along our route that we are scheduled to tour.

Sailing out of Passau June 15. Well, hopefully. It is our first river cruise. Fortunately we bought trip insurance and have been told we can cancel at any time. Happy to hear of anyones’s experience filing for insurance or dealing with this circumstance. Apparently Viking will warehouse people on the boats as long as authorities will let them. 

Is anyone currently on the Danube Waltz cruise? What are you able to do since the river is closed due to flooding and the shore points are under water? We are scheduled on the Passau - Budapest cruise leaving on June 15. Trying to decide if we should cancel.
