  1. Thanks for the heads up!

I called Celebrity this morning  regarding our June 2021 Bermuda cruise and got a price reduction of almost $1500 for our Concierge class cabin!  2 other couples travelling with us in verandah cabins had price reductions of just over $700. We were also able to keep our existing onboard credits and our 4 perks. We originally booked this cruise late last year.

    *note these savings are CDN$

Again thanks for posting, I would not have checked if I had not seen this.

  2. With just the 2 of you in the room you will absolutely love it! These are my all time favourite rooms on any ship we have sailed on, for our last cruise on the Summit I checked the Celebrity website daily to see if any were being released closer to our sail date and was able to grab one on deck 9. The one we had on deck 7 is our favourite so far. The corner family verandahs have a little larger balconies than the ones beside them but they are all huge compared to regular verandahs. I am sure you will love it. Congratulations have a wonderful time

  3. Have stayed in family verandahs on the Summit twice, once on deck 7 and once on deck 9. Loved them, 2 separate rooms with sliding door for privacy, 2 tvs, tons of closet space. Balcony was huge, deck 7 was great I found deck 9 family verandah was noisy as it was under the outside bar area and we could hear chairs being moved around late night and early morning.

The only con to the family verandahs I feel is that the bathroom is very small considering the room is able to accommodate up to 5 people. Would not hesitate to book these rooms they are the best on the ship in my opinion. Hope you love it and have a great cruise!

  4. We were on the Summit deck 9 aft balcony cabin this past June. Noise definitely was an issue, could hear chairs being scraped across the deck well past midnight then again early in the morning as the crew moved them around to wash the deck. Depends how sound a sleeper you are I guess if it will bother you or not. That being said the aft balcony cabins in my opinion are the best on the entire ship, if deck 9 was the only option available I would still book it. We did not notice any smell of cigarette smoke and the music we did hear was not loud at all and was usually finished by 1030pm.

  5. We are also cruising Alaska for the first time on the Statendam, June 1. We have booked a whale watching tour with Harv and Marv in Juneau and a Misty Fjords flightseeing trip with Island Wings in Ketchikan. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have good weather. Can't wait to get onboard!

  6. We just booked the La Quinta Inn and Suites, very reasonable rates - $139/night. Within walking distance to space needle, Pike's place market etc.
