  1. Shuttle buses and whether you pay for them vary from port to port. In some ports you dock in an industrial area where you are not allowed to walk out. in these cases a free bus has to be provided.

In some ports the port itself will pay for the shuttle as they want to encourage you to use their facilities. i suspect in some ports its included in the docking fee.

I was in Zebrugge a couple of weeks ago on the QM2 and it was free. Dublin back in August everybody had to pay. (That is what it said in the daily programme).

As previous posters have said you ships card will be scanned and cost will be automatically added to your onboard account.

  2. Yes. They were even given tender tickets the night before. Apparently the tour office thought a different tour had been cancelled and only realised the error when people started calling the pursers desk and asking about the lack of tour information in the daily program.

  3. So my Mum is on a short QE cruise and expected to go on a tour this morning. They went and got the tickets yesterday for the tenders this morning. However this morning they noticed that the tour was not in the daily program.

Called the desk. Oh yes they said. There was an error and that tour is not running !!

  4. So I have been thinking about booking the Queen Elizabeth mini cruise from Kiel to Southampton August 13 - 16. It was there on Sunday but when I went to book on Monday morning sold out arrgh.

I am now wait listed. So I may ask you experienced Cunarders on here what do think are my chances ? (I am cruise only)

  5. It is correct on the world cruise it is counted as separate segments for World Club. So you can move from Gold to Platinum to Diamond. It is specifically mentioned in the T&C.

All other cruises you only move to the next level when you take your start your next cruise.

  6. I booked a saver fare last year on the QV to St Petersburg. There were 6 of us in 3 cabins. TBH it never occurred to me they would not seat us on the same table. We were allocated a table of 6 early sitting britannia restaurant.

I should imagine you are 99% likely to be seated together. The maitre'd allocates the tables and he would not want a family of 6 coming down to complain on the first night if they were not together.

We also got 2 cabins next to each other and the other one about 6 door away. Worked fine.
