  1. My aunt and I are going on Elation and she will be spending quite a bit of time and money in the casino. I read on Carnival's site (see below) that there is a 3% fee to use the Casino Cashier's Desk. Is there any other way to cash out without incurring the fee?

    From Carnival's website:

There is no charge at the slot machines to access funds, but any transactions done at a table game or the Casino Cashier’s Desk will incur a nominal service fee of 3% each transaction. You can charge up to $5,000 USD per day on your Sail & Sign card to play in the casino, or $7,500 USD per day for Invite-only cruises (Premier / Ultra / Premier Plus / Getaway / Tournaments) or $10,000 USD per day for Elite cruises. Please consult the casino staff once on board for further details.

  2. I checked with Royal Caribbean to see if we needed to obtain a visa for Aqaba, Jordan prior to our cruise.  The customer service person said the ship would obtain them for the passengers, however, they could not guarantee the Visa would be approved before the debarkation at the port.  We have a excursion planned that will start shortly after our scheduled docking time.  Has anyone ever had an issue where their Visa wasn't ready by the time you docked?
