OMG..We are on the Emerald in a few weeks....DECK 9!! :o Update...we are four cabins away...

So happy to find this thread. I have never cruised before ..... been wanting to cruise for 'years'!!! This is my first time .... will be on Royal Princess coming up this week on April 13 !!! SO excited I can't stand it! Cruising with my best friend who is coming all the way from South Africa so we can do the cruise together. We are leaving our teenage kids and husbands at home and doing this cruise.

 

Did I mention I was wild excited. Feel like a kid!

 

So ... will watch this thread closely - I need all the advice I can get!

I'm sure there are but many don't know about Cruise Critic. You will probably see them at the LGBT gatherings.

It was the same on the last cruise I was on...the Norwegian Epic. Surely there were more couples than us on a ship of 4000 but only one other chatted here with me. Maybe one night, we should stop by the LGBT gathering to see who else is onboard.

Now we know who to look for....:)

Hey SteveInCa, hope you are still out there. We have just noticed the same disclaimer on our cabin, but it wasn't worded that way when we booked. Now that you've sailed, can you tell me if there were any restrictions on use of the balcony?

 

We are booked in L107, so am hoping we will be able to use the balcony (barring storms, etc.), lol.

Donna...we will be in that room is just under 25 days so send me a message on CC after the 20th of April and I will let you know.

Michael here... The first M&G (meet and greet) will be at the Horizons Bar, at

the rear of the ship on Deck 16, through the Horizon Buffet. We are supposed to wear beads so that we can all recognize each other. It will take place right after the muster drill. It's an informal gathering to see face to face the people we have chatted online with for the past year.

The second official M&G will take place at 3:30 at Club 6 on the first sea day (Tuesday) and is usually visited by some of the crew including the captain.

Both are usually a lot of fun and you will always have Ray to chat with.

Michael hier ... Die erste M & G (Meet & Greet) wird auf der Horizons Bar am Heck des Schiffes auf Deck 16 über den Horizont Buffet betragen. Wir sollen, um Perlen zu tragen, so dass wir alle einander erkennen. Sie findet direkt nach der Musterung Bohrer zu nehmen. Es ist ein informelles Treffen, um Gesicht zu sehen, um die Menschen, die wir online für das vergangene Jahr geplaudert Gesicht.

Die zweite offizielle M & G findet am 03.30 im Club 6 am ersten Tag auf See (Dienstag) statt und wird in der Regel durch ein Teil der Mannschaft mit dem Kapitän besucht.

Make sure you come to both of the Meet & Greets...Ray can chat with you in German....

I'm glad you are getting to see Maho Beach...it's amazing to watch the planes come in and take off.
