I had an alarm set for midnight to get up and look UP. At 11:45 I just felt this deep pull to check at that time. 
 

Nothing from the balcony.

 

I got dressed. Nothing matched. I didn’t care.

 

I went up.

 

I heard the excited buzz before even reaching deck 13.

 

Thankfully I Ketut in Maltings taught me how to best photograph the Aurora Borealis using an iPhone.

 

Tonight I saw magic dancing dramatically in the sky and I’ll never never forget

It would be such a pleasure to meet you and Dad! I get it though, my husband doesn’t fly so we drive down to the ports. Much easier from the East Coast than Vancouver.
 

Although one summer the stars aligned and we were able to take a month long trip across the country to Seattle. From there we cruised on the Pearl to Alaska. A trip the kids and us will never forget!

Hi Cuppy- I feel for you! We were booked on that sailing also. Fortunately, we drive down to Florida and did not have to deal with the airline ticket mess. Customer service has been awful over this issue. I still haven't received an official notice. So thankful for these boards! It has definitely taken some of the fun out of all the planning. Good luck and I hope you reach someone who can help.

ChrisCJSU- My family is supposed to be sailing on the Escape the week of Nov 5th. While we haven't received definite confirmation from NCL yet, rumor has it that the Escape is now going to be a private charter for that week. It's possible and only a guess that the private charter may be going to GSC. This is only my thoughts as to why GSC might have been removed. No matter what the reason it stinks!

On the phone with my TA, the NCL rep told her it's a full charter. We should receive an email soon. I'm bummed and can't believe they can do this but they can! Oh well going to look for a new cruise. Good luck everyone.

We used Orca Enterprises last July. I chose them due to price, reviews and I have 2 kids 10 and 12. We had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the boat comfortable, small enough group and we saw a bunch of whales!

We stayed at the Maxwell Hotel. they have a free shuttle you can take all over the city. You would have to call and see if they will pick you up at the airport. It was a nice quiet area. Very comfortable rooms.
