My wife and I took a private tour to Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Positano and the tour ended up in Sorrento and had a guide. This was on a celebrity cruise and I'm hoping someone out there might know the name or can suggest some private tours. It was a great tour.
We have used APTours twice, and have booked them for our upcoming trip. Impeccable, professional service. Contact Sara at www.aptours.it

We used drive around Italy dot com (Mary) for a Cinque Terre tour several years ago. It was awesome!! Used Cruise Critic to create a group of eight (8) and visited Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso with alternating transportation between each including hike, boat and train. Cinque Terre villages are beautiful!!!.

Gardens are right behind the MBS. There is a bridge and special exit to the gardens right from the MBS.
Orchard, Chinatown etc. can be reached by MRT. The MBS complex has its own MRT station. Fast, cheap and extreeeemly clean :-) The network is great.
Miaminice! Thank you very much for the information.

We will be spending two days in Singapore before a cruise. I’ve read lots of recommendations for hotels and places to see. We will be staying at the Marina Bay Sands. Can someone please tell me if it’s walking distance from the MBS to some of the recommended attractions (e.g. Gardens by the Bay, Clark Quay, Orchard Road.? We also want to see Chinatown & Little India. Any itinerary ideas for navigating to these places from Marina Bay Sands.
Can anyone help me?

I am coming from the US (Texas) and was just informed by my TA that I do need a Visa and I should use the link provided by the cruiseline for VisaHQ which charges $59.00 US per Visa. I'm confused. Can someone please tell me if an American citizen flying into Sydney for a cruise can purchase an online ETA from the Australian website that's mention in the posts on this Cruise Critic Site?
Thank in advance,

Our ship should arrive in Sidney on Good Friday and flying out on Monday (after Easter). We understood most of the places/shop would close on this day, anybody has any recommendation for tours / things to do that are available?. We probably will be going to see four famous opera on Saturday (closes on Friday but opens on Saturday).
Thank you.
I think we're on the same cruise. We leave Sydney Friday night at 9:00 pm. We too are looking for something to do on Good Friday, but Like you, I don't know if most attractions will be open on the holiday. I hope someone replies to your post.

OzKiwiJJ - We will be on RC Voyager of the Seas arriving in Sydney 25 March.
Have a great weekend everyone!

We will be in Sydney for one day (7AM - 7PM) and I need suggestions of what to do. I'd like to see EVERYTHING, but I know that's not possible. I would prefer a private tour for my party of four, but I am open to suggestions. I'd like to see The Opera House (not necessarily a long drawn out tour), but to take some photos. I'd also like to see the Blue Mountains. Can anyone give me any recommendations on a tour guide, or perhaps places to go and see during our day there? Any input on the Hop On Hop Off Bus? Should we see Bondi or Manly Beach? Any restaurant recommendations?
I know that's a lot of questions, but any input you can give me will help!
Thanks in advance,

We are going to be on Bora Bora and plan to book with Patrick (Maohi Nui) and were wondering if anyone has done his Lagoon Tour & Snorkeling with Lunch & 4X4 Tour lately? I trying to find out what the price would be for 6 adults.
We are paying $211.00 per person for eight (8) adults. Your may have to pay more because you only have six people in your group.

Tiki,
Can you please tell me where on your map the following places are:
1) Hotel Tahiti Nui;
2) Moana Nui Market place; and
3) Princess Ship Dock
Thanks,

It's 1200 feet from the lobby of the hotel to the checkin location for the ships.
Thank you once again Tiki. You have really been helpful over the past 13 months. A wealth of information.

Can anyone tell me how close the cruise ship port is to Hotel Tahiti Nui. Spending one night pre-cruise at hotel and need to make arrangements to get to the ship. Is it walking distance with luggage or should we plan to take a taxi?
Thanks in advance,
Bettye

Must be something new .......... the AF flight is early am and it would be normal for ships to accommodate early departures.
This is one reason I always let the cruise line book the flights, takes a bunch of stress out of the equation.
I agree Tiki. Or, if you don't purchase flights through the cruise line, simply purchase ship transfers on the return to the airport. It's more expensive than taking a taxi on your own, but certainly takes the hassle out of how/if you'll get to the airport on time for your return flight.

1. Take taxi after 6am as the rate goes down. 4-5 miles to hotel. Figure $25-$30 as you have extra people and bags.
2. Don't know, I assume it's based on availability like everyone else.
3. You are downtown already. The Le Marche, Waterfront for dinner at the Roulettes, Patrick's inner island tour
4. The Roulettes at the water front, just ask the hotel desk, easy walk distance
5. 2-3 short blocks
Thank you so much for the detailed information. I really appreciate all your help. I am sure I asked some of these ?s before but it's been almost a year and now that we're a few months out I needed to confirm.

Another Raiatea Inquiry
Does anyone have any information on la-voile-d-or restaurant?
-
Le Club House - located at the yacht harbor 1/2 mile from the ship dock. When you leave the ship go to your right. Stay on the path that is between the road and the lagoon. You will come to the yacht marina. Good location for sunset. Never eaten there so I can't say anything about the food but it is open air looking toward the sunset.
Great, thank you so much Tiki!

You are right next to the main town when you dock at Raiatea. There are a few places to eat. Yes there are a few roulettes.
Remember Tahaa is to the west of Raiatea so the sunset can be blocked depending on your location.
The closest and best location for a drink/dinner is L'espadon which is next to the ship dock. They have an outdoor terrace facing north and west.
Keep in mid there is a heavy Asian influence on Raiatea so it's pretty much French, Polynesian & Asian food.
Thank you so much. Any other information you could give me regarding Raiatea would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking that since L'espadon is so close to the ship it might be crowded with my fellow cruise mates:eek: Any other suggestions for restaurant & bar with a sunset view? We will be in port until 11:00 p.m.
Thanks,
Bettye

Can anyone recommend a nice place to dine, have drinks & watch the sunset in Raiatea?
Also does anyone know if the Raiatea Les Roulettes are near the cruise port?
Thanks in advance.
