I tried to search but I couldn't find any answer related to the recent change on Feb 28th.
Now that Canadians can do a rapid antigen test to fly back to Canada, does anyone know if this test is being offered inside the terminal and for how much? Do you have to pre-book an appointment?

Hi John,
Just came across your thread tonight. We were on the Jan 2 sailing and stayed in 9634. There were 4 of us. Our 2 young daughters slept on the pull out couch.
We also did the L&S and wished we thought ahead and booked a second cruise under that promo. We hit Diamond after that cruise but not sure we will ever be able to afford the Suite Life under regular prices.
You thread brings back so many memories for me. Loved our stay with Mohamed, Louis, Melanie and Jo-ne.

We will be Diamond on our next cruise. How do the vouchers work for kids under 18? Can I use their vouchers and order myself an alcoholic drink?

I am on a Jan 2nd sailing and Guest Services are telling me that my PCR test has been moved to the pier although the email clearly states it starts for Jan 5 sailings and onwards. Is emailing mbailey effective? I am set to disembark this Sunday and I had expected my PCR tests to be done onboard this Saturday!

Royal ended up taking care of me.
I'm now booked on the 1/29/2021 sailing instead of the 15th.
Did they give you the same price or adjusted to prevailing prices?

Leaving Coco Cay now. Captain just announced the weather etc on our way to St Thomas. So fingers crossed we'll get there. Had a great day today at Coco Cay. I did the NorthStar at 9am then got off the boat about 10. You know, it was just about perfect 😁
How many people are they allowing on each NorthStar ride?

Submit the request on line. You will have to wait about 10 days but someone should call you to provide options. I doubt they will let you go to the 2 berm GS but going the the 1 berm should be ok.
Can't. There are about 7 options on the online form but Odyssey is not one of them. (I have had to call in to do this one manually for other clients doing the same L&S.)

I was price protected on RS and my TA got me the GS at the same price. I did Empress 8 night to Odyssey 8 night. Actually nearly same itinerary. Pays to have a great TA. Trust me, my end result was a lot less than we normally pay for a GS.

This is what I am trying to do for my client too but I keep hitting roadblocks every time I call. I'm trying to do a L&S from OS on Empress to GS on Odyssey. I was able to do OS to OS but they won't let me downgrade. That's why I'm trying to get a feel if it is possible. They keep saying if it's not the same category, then it has to be done at prevailing.
So far I'm getting the sense that it really boils down to who you talk to.

I'm having trouble doing a lift and shift. Booked in an owner's suite but the sailing I want to lift and shift to is sold out of owner's suite. Previously was told if a category is sold out, can be offered another one lower so in this case, a 2 bedroom Grand suite. Now they are saying no and is escalating to Revenue. I'm waiting for their reply. Anyone done a successful lift and shift where the same suite category is not available but was offered an alternative? Thanks!

I'm arriving on Saturday and thinking of taking a taxi to the port. Since it's just the two of us, what do you think my chances are that I will find people in the taxi line that would be willing to share a vehicle with us? I'm hoping to split the cost.

We're bringing our own snorkel gear but was wondering if the tours provide life jackets or snorkel vests? I'm a non-swimmer so I do need to wear something when I go snorkeling. Wondering if I should buy one and bring my own.
-
I'm a non-swimmer and DH is not a strong swimmer. However both of us will throw on a life jacket and snorkel if the water is calm.
We would like to do a cruise around the islands. Are all the excursions water based? We see some reviews where people snorkel at every port. We understand the water life is amazing there so we would definitely do some snorkeling but is there anything else to do? Or would we be missing out if we're not snorkeling at every port?
Thanks! Just trying to get a perspective. We are considering the 10-day Oceania cruise in January. We are also late in the game of planning/booking the excursions if that makes a difference too.

Thanks everyone. I think we will make the drive at night. I think reading old posts about driving off into the canal and alligators at the side of the road made me nervous.
Earlier this year, we drove overnight from Toronto to New Jersey, through the curvy roads dark at night with snow squalls so this drive doesn't sound so bad. We can do long and boring no problem. =)

If I have refundable OBC left at the end of sailing, can I cash out at Guest Services or do I have to go to casino and pay the 5% surcharge?
Thanks!

Flights were cheaper into Fort Myers but our flight doesn't land till 7pm. Assuming we would be on the road at the earliest by 8pm after picking up the car rental, is I-75 safe to drive at night? We would prefer to make the drive to Port Everglades the night before cruise rather the morning of, but if safety is a concern, I rather stay put in Fort Myers area. We are travelling with a baby and a child if it makes any difference. Thanks.

Further update:
Woohoo! Upgraded to Balcony Guarantee X at same price!
:D:D:D:D

Thanks for those who replied. Here's an update for anyone who's interested.
Spoke to a rep at RCCL and he said I could change my booking to KSF promo but would have to cancel and rebook. Since I am in the 75% penalty time period, this is obviously not worth it for me.
Upgrading to higher category can still apply as long as equal or more than paid rate. Unfortunately with KSF promo rates listed on website, I cannot even see standard rates any where so no way of finding out if rates have dropped.
I guess at this point, I can only wish for the upgrade fairy to pay me a visit!
-
I read in the other thread, people with existing bookings were able to change to KSF pricing. However, they were before final payment.
Anyone have any luck with after final payment?
-
I have often come to Cruise Critic because many of you are so knowledgeable and I usually can get an answer faster than through my TA!
We're booked on an Inside Cabin for Allure April 6th sailing, obviously way past final payment. I knew about the KSF promo weeks ago but I never thought to check my April sailing. (I thought the promo is for May - December sailings.)
Anyways, now I see that I can get a balcony cheaper than my inside. I know we cannot get price adjustments after final payment but I have heard that you can upgrade?
How would this work?
My triple inside cabin is booked under police rate with the $65 C&A savings certificate applied for $2348.
A triple balcony guarantee under KSF promo is $2214.
What can I do? I prefer not to fork over any extra money. Will RCCL switch me from inside to balcony? I'm not expecting a credit or anything!
Or do I have to upgrade to the next category up for $2554? (Can I still apply the balcony C&A certificate of $125?
Thanks so much in advance!

Hi,
I can't seem to find a straight answer to my scenario so wondering if an expert here can help me. :)
Is it possible to book a cruise on a police discounted fare, using a next cruise certificate and a crown and anchor savings certificate?
(All of these are valid for the sailing I'm interested in.)
Thanks in advance!
