  1. I just booked on the Dawn for the Aug 10 sailing.  We have four adults and two children in a two bedroom suite with an adjoining mini suite.  We have the free at sea dining package and I was curious if I could upgrade that to a four or five day package paying the difference of course.  I’m Diamond with RCI but never sailed NCL so I’m not sure if there’s any flexibility.

  2. When my iPad was new I would lock it up, I'm on my second one since they came out, now they are more common. What would worry me is someone able to get personal info from it but I believe iPads can now be located if you turn on the setting Find My IPad.

  3. I apologize if there's a rule about bumping older threads. We wanted to book a local cruise for May and booked the 8 day Splendor out of NY in a GS. RCCL's Explorer was a 9 day but the price difference was over $2000 and the Explorer is an older ship. We're Platinum with RCCL and most of the perks are because of past passenger status. We sailed in a suite on Princess, our one and only cruise on that line and we had the most perks. We loved free unlimited laundry! the itinerary and price of the Splendor is. What closed the deal, not the extras that many lines provide, they are all built into the cost of the cruise.

  4. Totally agree. We have had a rocky two years and I am so happy that no matter what we can afford a cruise and spend time with, family, friends, each other and New people that we meet on board. Totally agree with not having to pick up. I am up vacation to have fun.

LWiening, I agree. DH has had six spine surgeries in the last three years and wherever it go, whatever I do I'm going to enjoy. We just went on a land vacay and Splendor in 88 days. The last cruise was on the Oasis in between his surgeries in January 2012. I was told this is a notch down but who cares! We're Platinum with RCCL and haven't been on Carnival since 1999 but I'm looking forward to a different experience!

  5. If available for your sailing, you can purchase it anytime after you book your cruise. You do not have to be paid in full. We purchased our FTTF 2 days after we paid deposit to book our cruise.....

I put a deposit on a cruise Wed and purchase FTTF yesterday as an excursion. My balance is not due until 2/18 for a 5/4 sailing. They posted there were only nine tickets left.
