How long do you have?  Do you want Eastern or Western Med?  A 7 day cruise will get you one or the other.  You can get some of both on a 10-12 day; to get both you need 14 days.  Not counting travel...  I would look for a cruise that leaves from or visits Venice.  We don't know how long it will be before Venice really gets serious about banning cruise ships...  I recommend you get a copy of Rick Steves' Mediterranean Cruise Ports, read it and decide which ports you want to visit and then look for a ship that visits the most.  You probably won't get all...  Spring/Summer 2020 is fast approaching.  There might not be much choice left in cabins...EM

    Thank you!

  2. I’m currently on Encore.  For anyone questioning their decision, don’t.  One of the best cruises/ship we’ve been on and we’ve been on

Pearl/Gem/Getaway/Escape.  Beautiful ship, great service,  no problem seeing shows, eating in specialties/main dining, go carts etc.   We have a spa cabin and therefore have access to the Thermal Suite and would highly recommend this.

We are not traveling with children so can’t comment on that.

We took one of the open air buses to Cane Garden Bay .Cost was $8 pp each way . They had facilities with chair rentals . There were a number of places to eat and drink on the beach . Very scenic drive and our driver narrated what we were seeing . Water and beach were really nice.

Was it easy to get a cab back to the boat?

  4. Does anyone know the actual name of the town where most of the rental car agencies are near the port? Is it Cape Canaveral or Port Canaveral, I'm trying to find out if I rent at MCO where I would put in the dropoff location would be. I've heard through CC that Budget, Avis and Hertz are closest to port.

    Thanks,
