  1. My parents are sailing on the Viking Sky from Barcelona on October 30.  They're starting to take note of the riots in Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia, and are, understandably, getting concerned about their pre-cruise arrival time as well as the cruise itself being disrupted.

I suggested they start to think about Madrid or Valencia before the cruise and then just get to the port via driver on the day of.  They have trip insurance, but they believe political disruptions are not covered.

Has anyone spoken to Viking about this situation, or have there been other posts about this on other boards?  Anyone been through something like this before?  Any other suggestions?

    Thank you.

  2. Thanks for the great info. We're in 1722 on the Allure this fall. Not really related to the Sky class, but I had a question about room configuration. Could an inflatable mattress be placed between the sofa bed and dining room table? A twin? A full/queen? I guess I'm asking if that Dining Room table can slide all the way to the wall if the chairs are moved? We have two teen boys who would prefer not to share the sofa bed. RCCL told me I could bring a camping mattress as long as it didn't have a plug-in pump.

I've heard mixed responses to getting a rollaway (which I guess could be a concierge question when I get their intro letter).

    Thanks,

  3. Hi SilverMCS. It sounds like I was given bad information from RCCL. We're in an aft facing L2 Crown suite with two teen boys and were told no rollaway. I was told I could bring my own air mattress, however. I'd prefer the rollaway, obviously. Did they place between the sofabed and dining table? Did they leave in the room during the day or just set up/breakdown each night/morning? Thank you.

  4. I had a similar question as I don't see my teen boys wanting to share the sofabed. So I called and was told no cot for this room. But upon asking I was told we could bring an inflatable mattress as long as it did not include an electric pump (so hand or battery is ok). So the question is whether I can fit a twin, full or queen mattress (40=60") in the space between the sofabed and the sliding dining table. It appears like room could be made - does anyone know if the sliding table can be moved all the way to the wall (with the two dining chairs being moved away).
