  1. Hello!

Does anyone have pictures or experienced either of these cabins? I have heard they are 100% unobstructed even though they are sold as obstucted OV.

We were upgraded to 8562 for our Alaskan cruise from an inside cabin and looking to see what the room view actually will be like. Would like to know if we will be able to see the great Alaskan coastline or a lifeboat. Thanks!

Forgot to mention that 8562 is next door to a room full of various ship's machinery that would emit clangs and bangs at odd hours throughout the night.

Also, ther's a catwalk outside your window that'll have various crewmen occasionally walking by youw porthole.

The view was kind of ok, though.

I've got a bunch of photos that I'll upload if you're interested.

    Lemmeknow.

We stayed in Dawn's 8562 in 2009. The view was ok but the noise from Dazzles (below) was horrendous before finally stopping between 1:00 and 2:00 am. Our first complaint had them tell us that the volume (HUGE speakers) would be lowered. Didn't seem to be done.

We finally got a ship's officer to come to the cabin around 2:00 am and he agreed that the noise was unacceptable. After first telling us that no open cabins were available, they were able to move us to a free cabin on deck 4.

    Awful cabin. :(

  3. Hmm.. have been a few. I have to go with a lady on the pride that had one breast out of the side of her swimsuit top and the other pointed up the center of the top sitting on a lounge chair reading a book. It was one of those moments that you walk by and then it registers in your brain so you have to go back and take another look. Sorry I did. I'm still haunted by it 3 years later!!

What was the title of the book the other one was reading? :D

  4. They're larger and usually off by themselves. Everytime I've been on the Spirit, I've booked cabin 10351...when you're in bed, your head is to the aft, if there's any rough weather you are going with the ship..no side motion. I hear they may be charging more for them..Barb;)

  5. A word of caution... the mouthwash taste never leaves the bottle and WILL last forever. So... unless you want a horribly "fresh" tasting drink, I'd use a container that had something less potent in it originally. Went to far as to warm up the safety seal and slip it off and back on... looked like the perfect mouthwash bottle when done. Then, the taste test.... argh!!

Mint mouthwash bottle + bourbon = Instant Mint Julip.

    'nuf said :D.

  6. I take 3 1.75L of vodka along with 2 empty 32oz bottles. I love the mango juice and fill each jug every morning and store them in the mini bar for later. When that runs out I mix with fruit punch or lemonade. DW likes the ice tea, one thing about vodka is you can mix it with anything.

Being that cruise lines frown (disallow) filling personal containers with juice/punch, how does one fill 32oz bottles with mango juice? Funnel?

    Enquiring minds want to know.
