I reached out to the travel agent and she tells me that its RCCL who is slow in charging my card....I dont really buy it, but at the same time dont really have other options.
-
I booked a cruise through a travel agent, gave the deposit. When it came time for final payment, I told my travel agent to apply it to the same card. She confirmed she did and sent me a confirmation from RCCL that it was paid. However, we are about 3 weeks after final payment date and my card has not been charged.
I reached out to RCCL to confirm they received payment but they wont tell me since I booked through a travel agent.
I just want to make sure they dont cancel my cruise....

We are sailing on the Sky this weekend and have the UBP. Will it work on the GSC private island or will we have to pay for any drinks?

We are on the Summit, coming into Bayonne on May 3rd (sunday). Considering an 11am flight from EWR to Chicago. Anyone have experience with it and if its too early?

Hi Everyone,
Booked a cruise last night that is departing in about 2 weeks, but now need to cancel due to work reasons. Does anyone know if there is a 24hr window that allows a cancellation without forfeiting my payment?

Hi Everyone,
Thinking of taking a cruise on the Jade in Europe in December. Does the Jade have an indoor pool?
-
I would wait until after the december cruise as your voucher that you buy in Dec would not be valid for cruises already booked. Plus you can probably get a better deal. Only thing you lose is if you book it now, you will get an extra point for each night of the cruise on your lattitudes account since its over 9 months out.
So I will be on the NCL in Dec for the first time on a Southern Caribbean cruise.I am presently looking at a cruise to Norway in June 2015 and the online cruise company is offering a $200 OBC for an OBView cabin total price range within $2500 to $3000.
Most of the cabins are on the 8th deck , in particular 8062 plus others .
My hesitation to book is wondering if I would get any more perks if I book while cruising in Dec?
I read that if I book a future cruise voucher while on the Dec. cruise I would get a $100 pp for the cruise I was on.
Also would I be considered a past guest at that point to get any better perks or offers or do I have to complete the cruise ?
So my indecision is should I book now and then see if the total price is better in Dec? Could I then cancel then rebook?
thanks for your feedback.

We did a tour with SPB in St Petersburg and Germany (bus to Berlin) All other ports (Tallinn, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Stockholm) we were on our own, either walking or taking the Hop On Hop Off Buses.
What ports? What did you do in each port?Private?
Ncl?
DIY?

Hey Everyone,
Been a long time member and just got off the Star for a Baltic Cruise (7/12-7/20) and decided to write a review about the ship, food, etc.
The embarkation process was pretty smooth, we got to the port around 3pm and it was very busy, but because we are Lattitude members, we were on board within a half hour, so pretty quick from my perspective.
Reading reviews on here, I was somewhat worried about the condition of the ship. As soon as I got on board, those worries faded away. It is indeed an older ship, but it is exceptionally maintained and one would have to look very hard and purposefully to find anything wrong with it. The decor is a bit out of style, but its still in great condition.
Food: Food was pretty much a hit or miss. Was it fantastic? Definitely not. But it was an average quality one might expect from a chain restaurant. The buffet always had something that one can eat. We didnt do any of the specialty restaurants, but Versailles and Aqua menu's were pretty good and we never left the restaurant hungry after dinner.
Service: This was probably the most disappointing out of all. Some days, we had great service, some days it was very poor. Couple examples, we spent over 3 hours for dinner at Aqua (party of 2) because it took 30 minutes to take our order, another 30-40 minutes to bring out our appetizers, and so on. You can really see where the cruise line is cutting back. On one of the sea days, we were lounging by the pool and took a plate of fruits to eat. After we were done, we put the plate on the ground. 3 hours later when we were leaving, the dirty plate was still sitting on the ground, in open view, without anyone picking it up. Our room steward was average. On couple occasions she forgot to leave the floor mat for us to step on after the shower. On one occasion, we requested 2 new towels and only received them about 45 minutes later.
So overall service was average at best. At restaurants, we got our food in a timely manner and it was accurate...there was no usual small talk or wait staff asking us how our day went as been our experience on previous cruises.
Overall, I would do this cruise again as the destinations were wonderful and definitely beat out any service issues that we might of had.
If you have questions about the Star or the Baltic cruise in general, feel free to ask.

Do you have to book through NCL or can you use this to book with an independent travel agent?
-
We got the ISIC card as we noticed last time we traveled to Europe, a regular school ID with a picture was not accepted in most places...

There is no unrest in St Petersburg, so thats not an issue. Only issue that will arise if the US/EU restricts travel to Russia or Russia bans US/EU citizens from coming in.

Not sure how MSC is in the Caribbean, but we went on in for a European cruise and hated it...the staff was rude, wait times in the MDR were long, and just an overall unpleasant experience. If it was me, I would go on Princess in a heartbeat.

Worst case scenario is you spend a week in Miami. I would book a hotel for the week with a cancellation policy just in case.

We are booked to take a baltic cruise on the in July on Norwegian Star and wanted to see how I go about finding out where the ship docks in St Petersburg. Any insight would be helpful!

I can tell you that they do check it but not thoroughly. We just got off the Jewel, where we brought 10 bottles of wine with us spread over 5 different bags (2 bottles a bag). They found 5 of the bottles and missed the other 5. Not sure how they can find one bottle but miss another one in the same bag...but just proof that they are not looking too hard.

Would you be able to get a key to the other room if you are booked in a different room?
