    Harmony abyss slide shoe question

    Hmm, I think its funny that on the official RCCL site... they show people riding the slide with glasses ON. I wonder if I make a stink about it, they'll me keep mine on. "If glasses aren't allowed, you probably shouldn't show people sliding with glasses on... on your website" and then roll my eyes :P

     

    You can't wear your glasses when you roll your eyes. It's a new RCCL rule... ;)

    Hermine and Anthem

    I was looking at the Bermuda webcam today and saw that the Breakaway and Summit had left Bermuda early. Hopefully you will get out on the Anthem on time, cruise east, then south toward Bermuda when past the storm. Saturday should be clear all day. You may even leave early.

    Wow. What a shame that some new members get treated this way. I highly doubt this is someone trolling. Some of the related claims by the OP's parents may seem a bit picky, but everyone has different experiences on a cruise.

     

    I am really disappointed to see new members put down like this. Wow. All of us started here with a first post, even the resident "experts."

    I hope the OP continues to be involved with Cruise Critic after that welcome aboard.

    New york to bermuda

    It does vary greatly. Some June cruises to Bermuda on the Explorer, we had the usual 8 to 9 foot swells. One trip, in a gale, we had 27 to 35 foot waves. Our last June trip to Bermuda, we had 7 foot swells going there, but coming back was eeriely smooth. You could see the clouds reflecting off of the glass like surface. Even the captain mentioned how unusual that was for crossing the Gulf stream.

    Grand Suite or Owner's Suite on Freedom of Seas

    I'm hoping the 1348 will be less breezy when the ship is in motion, since it has a portion of the balcony on the back of the hump.

     

    This is a great cabin and very convenient to the elevators. We had this cabin on the Freedom in 2013.

     

     

    As for the showers, I am 6'4" and have no problem in the glass Owner's Suite shower. I do find the ceiling to be very low in the Grand Suite tub, due to my height and the raised tub. I have about 2" of clearance from the ceiling.
