  1. Hi. I'm debating doing an Alaska cruise with my 1 and 4.5 year old. I have a few questions.

    1. The ports are Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. Can you recommend some suitable family excursions? Which places have a walkable town?

    2. How cold is it in late August? We are from Toronto Canada. Is it really just the people from down south complaining about the weather?

    3. Is it worth it to get a balcony or is an oceanview good enough? I hear some people complain it is too cold to stay out on balcony.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi there,

I have been on DCL, Princess and Carnival. We have never cruised NCL and I have some hesitation as the Sun is an older ship. However, when I price out NCL Sun vs. Disney Wonder to Alaska, I can get a balcony on NCL and have a few thousand left over when compared to the same cruise on DCL!

Looking to make the case to my hubby to book with NCL! Advice, tips and comments on programs/activities for kids? How are the balcony rooms on NCL? How will the staff treat my 1 year old? What activities available for my 4.5 year old?

    Thanks thanks!

  3. Hi,

I'm hoping to go on an Alaska cruise with DD4 and our baby. I'm wondering if it's better to go now when the baby is 1 year old and more portable or wait until next summer when she will be 2 years old.

We are considering NCL or Disney as we want to sail out of Vancouver.

Thanks!!! Please don't tell me to leave the baby at home...I'm aware of limitations of travel with a baby and we still want to go.

  4. I was using the "online chat" function with the operator at Atlantis and she told me there is no Dig-only pass? Only a pass including beach access, etc.

However, I read on these boards there is a Dig-only pass. When did Atlantis stop offering it?

  5. Our cruise will stop in Nassau. Both my hubby and I will have been there before, but now we have our almost 3 year old with us. I read about the People-to-People program and it sounds like something I would have done if we didn't have a young child. I was wondering if anyone has done it with a young child. I am a little concerned about the safety aspect in Nassau. Thanks.

  6. We are 2 adults and a two year old child. What's the cheapest way to get from airport to port and back to Orlando area? Should we just rent a car? Using codes, I am finding ~$20 for a <1 day rental.

We need to stay one night before the cruise, would any stay and cruise packages be available and a better deal?
