  1. Hi: I few weeks ago at our precruise hotel we meet several folks that were going on the Malt Shop Cruise. It was the first time we had ever heard about it. My husband has always loved the music from that era. When I went to check the prices for November 2014, however, for new first time cruisers, it is so expensive. Can anyone tell me about the cruise. I am curious about the shows. Are they separate shows with separate performers or do they all perform together? Is it one night or are there performances every night? What else is fun about the cruise. I can't seem to find too much information about it. The cheapest balcony is 6650.00 for both of us! Does the cruise sell out fast? Does anyone know if it is cheaper to book direct with the cruise line? Any other hints or suggestions such as is it too far away from the cruise to get the best price or if I wait will it sell out fast? Thank you so much for any help.

  2. Yeah, I had 11327 on Oasis in 2010 and loved it. So much so, I booked 11325 for the Allure next month. Ocean views are great but a balcony view gives you something no other ship can except on the Oasis/Allure. Plus you can still easily see the ocean. I think deck 11 is one of the most popular as the secret balconies are off of there.

  3. I'll start with the coolest, literally, bar on Epic. I was a little skeptical at first, but we loved it. A few things. It's 17 degrees in there. It is an ICE bar. Wear some freaking clothes! And shoes! Not flip flops. As we were going in an older couple was coming out bragging that they lasted 45 minutes. So of course my wife declared we have to last at least 46 minutes. We did. We also met some really fun people in there, even though they were all Red Sox and Patriots fans.

We didn't do the ice bar because we figured it's so cold here in New England why bother. Guess we missed out. Red Sox and Patriots fans are usually everwhere you go!!:D

  4. [This being our first balcony, we had nothing to compare it too. But we loved it nonetheless. Loved the storage, that the balcony door was slider, that it had a real hair dryer (wife), that it had a nice flat screen TV and most important an in room coffee maker!

I LOVED HAVING THE COFFEE MAKER IN THE ROOM. I SAILED ON THE EPIC THE WEEK AFTER YOU!! LOVE IT ALSO.

  5. I realize this is a little late, but hopefully it will not disappoint. When we returned from Epic we realized that our family dog of 14 1/2 years was very ill and unfortunately we had to put him down. One of the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
