  1. Okay we are having a disagreement over where we can and cannot use our data plan (texting) on our upcoming cruise. We have ATT and doing Coco Cay, St Thomas and St Marten. I was looking at there domestic coverage map and the US Virgin Islands are included, but the other 2 destinations are not. That's what I'm going with. Wifey says none are included. 14 year old hormone charged son(with a girlfriend back home) says all are included. Please I need someone to vindicate my position on this. I'm pretty sure I'm completely right.

  2. Hoping to kill 2 birds here, can someone please tell me drink costs per drink on Freedom? Looking at the Ultimate vs Premium pkgs and other than premium coffee tea and oj sparkling water( don't drink any of them) I don't see a difference with the possible exception of drink prices. Premium says up to $10.00 Ultimate doesn't list a price max. Are most drinks of the day and frozen drinks under $10.00? Second question, in the casino IF you "cash out" at the cage do they pay you cash or does it go on your sign and sail card? can you buy in with cash for table games? Any help is appreciated!

  3. Disney hands down. Done both with 8-teens and all preferred Disney. Aquaduck was great for the kids and so were the teen areas. As adults the rooms are nicer(2 bathrooms sort of) more space. Food was good on both but Disney's was a bit better and service is second to none. Biggest downside for me anyway was no casino on Disney. You can also bring soda and alcohol on board as well as free sodas on ship.

You can't go wrong with either choice, remember RC is less expensive. BTW we had a nice mix of male/female at all age levels.

  4. I use a CPAP. On my cruises I have gotten an extension cord from the cabin attendant with no issues. However, this time (I board tomorrow) will be the first time my CPAP has a humidifier (I changed machines). I hope I can get distilled water, but I probably will pack a small bottle just in case. Only a 3 night cruise so I dont need alot.

I've had a CPAP mach for over 10 yrs now and if you don't have distilled water you can use tap water. The distilled water is so the Dish/pan which is at least partially metal doesn't get a lime build up. Just when you get back home let the dish sit in distilled water for a few hours and the build up comes right off.

  5. prices for our Feb 23 cruise out of Port Canaveral are between $650.00(SW) and over $800.00(AA &UAL).no way I'm paying that pp for 4 people. We rented a 15 person van(yes there is a total of 15 people going) and the breakdown with gas included is $120.00 pp, longer drive but saving over $2000.00 is worth it.

  6. Both of my boys enjoyed both Disney and RC. Their ages when we did Royal were 7 & 3, they really enjoyed the different kids clubs but they were there with their cousins so making friends was kind of a non issue. From what I remember they did have video games in my older son's club. They went crazy on our last Disney cruise(Dream). they loved the Aqua Duck. But they were 12 &8 at the time. Royal will have more "adult" areas such as the casino.

Both are great cruise to go on, I don't think you'll be disappointed in whichever you choose.

  7. We have cruised Disney twice with a third coming up in Feb. We have also cruised Carnival 3 times and RCI 2 times. And for us the price difference is negligible at best.

When we do Carnival and RCI my wife and I tend to spend a few hrs a day in the casino and also run up higher bar bills than we do on Disney. When we do Disney there is no gambling expense for us(don't like the high minimum bets at Atlantis) and really don't drink much other than an occasional beer. I guess maybe the "family atmosphere" puts us in a different frame of mind on Disney. But that's how my family feels, yours may be different.
