  1.

I posted wrong information above, the weekend will be impacted. For the poster that asked about Hwy 3 as an option I can share that route is crowded every weekend regardless of what the freeway traffic looks like.

The Metro Traffic Cameras will be helpful all weekend.

  2. Curious if anyone has used resort for a day and tried sunset beach resort in Jamaica and how it was trying to find something to take my wife and 11yo son. Thanks

Have used Sunset Beach Resort day pass two times. Buffet was included, plus hamburgers, in addition to all the drinks, alcohol and non-alcohol. It was very clean, and best part was only few minutes away from where our ship docked. We could see our ship from the hotel. There was a free shuttle from the dock to the resort. Check to see where your ship will be docking. We felt safe, and enjoyed our all day inclusive at their resort and beach.

  3. How many times in a 7 day cruise do they typically do it?

It's my daughter's birthday that week, so we thought it would be a fun thing to do.

It was offered only one morning on our 7 day cruise. Pictures were also taken during the breakfast. Your daughter wld have such a memorable birthday. Make reservations as soon as possible.

  4. I will be on the Pride next month and our group wants to go to the Seuss at Sea brunch. Does anyone know if they only do this on specific days on the cruise? Also, do I have to reserve ahead of time?

Saw it, and If you like eating with majority children, and tables decorated in Dr. Seuss theme, then do it. All the Children loved it, but many adults didn't.

  5. Hotels rates in Galveston are 50% off now due to winter season. We live in

Galveston, here are the Hotels I recommend:

TREEMONT HOUSE - WYNDHAM GRAND HOTEL (is a historic hotel in the heart of the Strand by the Ships) Beautiful Hotel.

HARBOR HOUSE MARINA - on Galveston Bay by the Ships. Walking distance to the Historic Strand.

THE SAN LUIS RESORT & SPA (on the Seawall overlooking the ocean)

Prices are now $119-$189 w/o 15% tax. Normally, $200-$350. Beautiful Hotel.

HOLIDAY INN RESORT GALVESTON BEACH - $99-$139 (Normally $200-$269)

(on the Seawall overlooking the ocean)

DOUBLETREE BY HILTON GALVESTON BEACH - (on the Seawall overlooking the ocean).

Many of these Hotels provide free cruise ship parking on their property, and shuttle to the ships.

  6. Just off Navigator 10/5/14. Had GS 1560. It is directly below the Solarium and every morning 4:30am - 6:00am the metal loungers were moved across the Tile flooring causing scraping noise, plus several carts were rolled constantly across the flooring at these hours. The noise constantly woke us up at these hours daily. A DJ played loud music on Solarium the day before disembarkation from 11:00PM - 2:00AM which could be heard below in Suite 1560 and the Balcony. If you are a light sleeper, move away from where the Solarium is located.
