Price varies. $39.99 for classic and $47.99 for premium on our Constellation cruise in 2 weeks.
I was hoping for that price on the summit at the end of this year, but so far no luck. I’ve been checking but pricing hasn’t moved.

It is also possible to tip extra through guest services for specific personnel. Celebrity has a form to complete, all you need is staff name, venue/position, and add an amount to be charged to your account. We have left additional gratuities this way, as well as used up onboard credit.

By chance does VV’s Italian restaurant run a special Feast of the 7 Fishes menu on Christmas Eve?

The nickle and diming continues. Makes Celebrity look desperate and definitely not the “luxury” line it says it is. Celebrity seems to be floundering in its own identity.

I’m hoping the drink packages go on sale (not just the upgrade). Currently, not cost effective for how much we would use it. The convenience is fantastic, though, so here’s hoping.

We did this tour pre-Covid and enjoyed it. Prior to the tour we did the Pirate Museum on our own, then met for the food tour. Enjoyable day! We booked directly with the vendor.

I anticipate much being closed on Christmas Day. Any suggestions or recommendations for Puerto Plata on Dec. 25?

Nickle and diming, devaluation of product, quality of entertainment - we have 4 cruises booked in the next 18 months and none are on Celebrity

Received confirmation of our requested rebooking on Resilient Lady down under in 2025. We submitted our form last Saturday. Excited to plan a new, extended bucket list vacation for 2025!

Thank you all for your thoughtful responses. We plan on traveling in late Feb - March. We've decided option 1, with plans to arrive in Sydney to do some touring prior to the cruise. We're looking forward to exploring Tasmania so the two stops are appealing. We can plan to visit Wellington when we spend time in New Zealand after the cruise.
I appreciate your touring recommendations, too. Looking forward to getting in some national park and winery visits!

Poof, there goes our December 2024 Equinox South American ocean portion. Now to figure out what we're going to do - I have land reservations set up around that cruise (fully refundable, but still). Looking at other cruises, or, planning something on our own. Of course other cruise dates won't match up, so back to a drawing table for intinerary building. And so far, prices of cruises are at least a couple thousand more than what I paid on Celebrity - looks like Viking, Holland America, and maybe Princess are options. Sigh. Maybe just sit tight for a bit and see how the ships shuffle and see if a sale comes by from other cruise lines. Not interested in an already congested Carribbean.

Bit the bullet and booked our flights Tampa to San Juan - $311 Jet Blue Blue. Not many flights from Tampa and driving to Orlando is a mess.
Problem is timing..We leave SJ around 9 PM and get in around midnight! Yuck...Has anyone used that Bagaway thing in PR to leave suitcases after checking out of airbnb??
For luggage storage, we've used Barrachina restaurant in Old San Juan. They will hold until 5 PM for free (there is a tip jar to tip for the service) - since your flight is at 9, you could enjoy old San Juan for the day, return to Barrachina to retrieve luggage, eat an early dinner, and then head to the airport. The restaurant is a short taxi ride from the cruise terminal.
We too just booked airfare for around the holidays - brutal prices. Hoping the prices will drop and we can reticket.

Also, note in the shore booking area, the days are listing the updated itinerary but the shore excursions are still for the old itinerary (e.g. on Falkland Island day still showing excursions for Puerto Madryn). The cruise still triggers an error in the My Reservations area. So don't get too excited to make plans!

Dang, that new itinerary doesn’t appeal to us. We want more time in Patagonia. We’re thinking Chile, Patagonia, Iguazu for about a month, land travel. Maybe a bit longer and spend time in a warmer place in the southern hemisphere during the northern winter months. We need to think more about if we still want a Dec departure or perhaps shift to Jan-Feb time frame. If we do Antártica it is going to be expedition style, so other itineraries on large cruise ships that cruise by there aren’t of interest. Well, guess this means back to the planning.
Anyone find a land itinerary they like? I speak Spanish so we’re rather adventurous in our South American travel…..

Confirmed. We received this info through our TA. I’m disappointed as we wanted the one way Argentina to Chile. We’re waiting to see what the new itinerary will be before deciding what we’re going to do.

I keep getting bounced out and now see a message of maximum attempts reached. Glitchy, terrible user interface, not a positive experience. Did they even beta test this? Pretty poor user experience overall. Optimized for desktop or laptop? If that's optimized..... And sorry, mobile device users, you are even moreso out of luck.

$100 + existing credit + cost of hotel night = peace of mind
With that kind of weather report, fly out earlier. Hope you were able to get out today - perhaps Delta posted an advisory and you could change for minimal cost! What did you decide to do, Taclin01?

Date of Cruise: 02/24/2019
Ship: Edge
Cabin #: 12127
Deck #: 12
Cabin Category: C2
Cabin Location: Port Midship-Forward
Bed Position: By verandah
Balcony Type: Infinite Verandah
Balcony/Window Size: standard IV
Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: Minor from overhang, no pole
Balcony Overhang?: Yes, overhang from deck 14 and beginning of solarium overhang
Magic Carpet Issues?: NA
Noise Issues?: Heard chairs moving only twice; husband noted an occasional rhythmic thump in the morning he thought was related to the running track transferring through the structure - I didn't notice it. Interestingly, with the slight solarium overhang we thought the sound of the water was amplified. We did hear residual pool deck music (bass) and microphone when there were activities on the pool deck, but this wasn't particularly bothersome and was offset by the wave noise. When the IV was closed there was no sound.
Wind Issues?: No, and there was fresh air circulating through the verandah when the window was open - it was not stagnant nor was it blustery.
Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?:
Suite Details: NA
Advantages/Problems/Comments: Loved the location - very convenient to access deck 14 forward for the spa, spa cafe, and the theater and club on decks 4 and 5 forward. We also were pleasantly surprised at how much we appreciated the overhang - when sun was hitting that side of the ship, the verandah may have been too hot and unusable with direct sun and would have made the cabin hot - with the overhang we always had a sun shade while being able to have the window open and enjoy the verandah. We found the bed by the verandah to be convenient for accessing the closet and getting ready for the day and for dinner. This cabin abuts a fire wall, so no sound at all from one side of the cabin. Rarely heard cabin neighbors on other side unless they were on their verandah and we had our verandah window open. Great view looking down to ocean and toward bow.
Would You Book It Again?: Yes

I use a lanyard when I (1) don't have pockets at all or pockets deep enough to not have the card easily slide out (truly a problem with clothing for women) and (2) don't want to carry around a bag or purse just to put my card in it. Most likely those who judge others wearing a lanyard would also judge if I wore cargo shorts in order to securely carry my card - who cares how people carry their cards! To each their own and what works for them! I'm a lanyard person and husband puts his in his pocket.

Is Kon Tiki open again? I know the new Bikini Beach is pretty nice
Yes - per their facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kontikibeachsxm/) they opened at the end of last month (December 2018)

Giving this a bump - I'm interested in this question, too!
No Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Been watching for excursion and drink package discounts for our December 2023 Summit voyage. No deals for Black Friday or Cyber Monday - still the usual 5-10% off excursions and 20% off drink packages. Disappointing - must be those darn algorithms….
