My ULTRA offer does not mention casino cash, just "up to" $100.000 in prizes and give aways.

 

On a premium booking, I just go to the casino cashier's window and get my gambling "rebate". Is it the same on an Ultra?

I've been on several Premier cruises and received the discounted cruise plus cash - I just don't understand how the Ultra cruises are suppose to be better deals than the Premier. You have multiple invitee only events, and the welcome aboard party, DOU, raffles, etc on the Premier.

 

Like I said earlier, the prices on the Ultra Sunshine cruise do not seem to be discounted much if at all and from what I understand there is no casino cash. Since it sounds like you've been on both, can you tell me how it's better than the Premier.

Wow, what a fantastic cruise. Might just be my favorite ever.

I am busy downloading photos and working on videos, so I won't have a trip report started for a few days.

We did dive at Roatan (fantastic) and Cozumel (good), cave tubing at Belize (fantastic).

Freedom is great ship, staff is the best, period. Only glitch was the debark was horrible. Galveston customs took over an hour just standing in line. Horrible. EVERYTHING else on the cruise was stellar.

They are not free anymore. Just came off Splendor and found out the cards are $1 available at casino.

 

Also those cheap plastic coil lanyards are not free to anyone either. A friend asked for one and they put her card in a machine to made sure she was actually playing. Then it was free. You must play to get the plastic coil lanyard that is worth about .10. :eek::rolleyes:

Got 2 free decks @ Guest services last week on Freedom, maybe for Plat/Dia.

Most likely scoot her down to the grain dock past Terminal 2.

Being 75, I totally agree. Emer air- vac is all that is important to us.

We follow the opposite approach - If we had purchased for every cruise we would be out more money that the cost of two cancellations. It is called "self insurance" ...

 

 

But everyone has different risk tolerances and mitigation strategies ...

Best friend had emergency air-vac from Jamacia to Miami, no ins, $32,000, tough to break even in this case. Very severe leg break on zip-line, you never know, just takes once.

They use to have free internet but that was discontinued a while back.

No butler like NCL & Celebrity.

I'm pretty sure the doors are metal and that magnets will attach to them, but just to verify, can anyone confirm this for Dream.

Some upgraded ships have USB outlets for charging electronics. Does anyone know if the Valor has them? Sailing next weekend and I have a plug-in adapter but it includes surge protector which I know is a no-no.

 

Also sailing on Sunshine next March... does it have the USB outlets?

Just got off Breeze, usb port in back of tv. I think most flat screen"s have them. Used for phone & camera. Tom

If you're going to make blanket statements like that think about this: try to find a ship's doctor on any cruise ship in the world who graduated in the top half of their class in medical school.

ALOT are top notch retired physicians.
