We are looking forward to our Antarctica trip in January, but also realize it can also be cancelled as all our other trips since March 2020's India trip.  That trip we got out of India on the last day planes were flying back.  Heard the lockdown news in Santiago from a friend who lives there.  Discouraging for them.  

Speaking to travel to Antarctica, most people have to go through Santiago or Buenos Aires before going through Ushuaia and on the ship to Antarctica......   Santiago is back on lock down. 😞

We are going on the Silver Explorer on January 7, 2022, via Santiago.  The previous cruise we were booked on went through Buenos Aires.  We are fine with either.  We've been to both places and enjoy them both.  

We are going on a river cruise, ending in Bucharest.  Any suggestions on a private tour guide/company for a trip to Transylvania and the Black Sea?  

I am not booked on this itinerary, but on three others for 2021.  You might want to think about the possibility of being confined to your stateroom because of a covid outbreak.  In that case, I would absolutely want either a french balcony or regular balcony cabin. Fresh air would be most welcome at a time like that.  Just sayin'.......
