We are staying one night in Southampton pre-cruise in a Premier Inn. Which is the best location/hotel?
Cumberland Place or City Centre? Will be doing a little exploring of the city on our arrival day and then will be going to the port the next day.
thanks

if we purchase a non-refundable and amendable ticket on National Express from Heathrow to Southampton, if you need to change the time on the ticket the day of travel due to delays going thru customs, is that allowed?

For anyone who has been on the ship recently and spent time in the Casino, what are some of the popular slot machines? Any of the newer ones? Wonder if they will change the slot machines during drydock? Any other info re the Casino would be appreciated.

I've heard the food wasn't very good, service not good, ships not as nice.

I have been on 10+ cruises, most on Carnival, but also have sailed Princess several times but never sailed NCL. I've heard negative things about NCL but was wondering if things have improved.
Would appreciate info from someone who has cruised with all or most of these lines as to positives and negatives of them.
WE are planning a European cruise next summer and exploring our options.
Thanks

I have been on over 10 cruises the majority on Carnival, but also Princcess, RCI and Seven Seas. Have heard negative comments re Norweigan over the years but haven't actually sailed on them. Could I have some opinions of what others who have sailed on these ships think of Norweigan?

My spouse and I are planning a trip to Europe next summer. We've seen the Northern Europe (Copenhagen, Denmark, Russia) and a lot of Italy (venice, rome, etc) but can't decide if we should sail the Greek Isles area or British Isles (Scotland, Ireland, France)?
PLan on doing 12-14 days. Looking at Princess, RCI or Holland, but have heard that Holland's nightly entertainment not as good.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

My husband and I (both in our 60's) have cruised many times. We are considering a European/Mediterranean cruise for summer 2017. We have cruised mostly on Carnival, but also Princess and RCI but are looking at cruises on Holland. I am a little concerned that there may not be as much to do on Holland as we are used to on the other ships. How does their casino and nightly production shows compare? These are things we like to do in the evening. Also, how does the dining compare? Thanks for your assistance.

If you are a member of AARP, if you login to your account you can see if you have any points accumulated. if you have at least 5000 points, you can purchase a $500 Carnival Gift card for $450.00 (10% savings). If you don't have enough points, there are financial, health, estate planning, etc quizzes you can take to accumulate points. There are also other gift cards you can purchase at a discount.

Has anyone did this tour recently? Do you remember the cost??? Where do you go to book it on the ship???

We are going to stay two nights post-cruise in November. I had booked the Hilton Riverside but found a better deal on a Wyndham New Orleans French Quarter. The Wyndham is less expensive and offers free parking with the rate. Which location is closer to French Quarter/bourbon Street/Jackson Square? Which is a nicer hotel???

Sailing on the Dream in Nov - can't wait. It will be the largest ship of my 11 sailings so anxious to experience it. I have a question - what style entertainment in the big theater? The big broadway shows or the new 30 min format shows??? Thanks

I am sailing on Carnival Miracle - if I use my S & S card to add cash to my slot machine, is there an extra charge on my account???

we'vve stayed at Quality Inn Airport/cruiseport previously and are staying there again in March precruise. It's about $200 a nite for our date. Its a decent hotel especially for the time you'll be there. might want to check it out.
